If ayone has any contact information (other than email addresses) for Farrah Hendricks (Farrah Wines) of Kaykohl Land German Shepherds and also Wineshaus...please let me know. As noted in previous posts, I purchased a puppy from her for $2800 (import from Hungary) with awesome pedigree (allegedly) last september for my daughter. Aside from other problems I had with puppy I am now still waiting for the papers from Ms. Hendricks. Emails more often than not go unanswered. My last contact with her was over 25 days ago and she advised me that she had received the papers from the breeder in Hungary (VIERNHEIMI.HU ) and was going to send them out asap....STILL WAITING! Since then, all other emails unanswered. Also, within these last 25 days, her website has disappeared. I have heard from numerous people with similar or worse complaints (thanks to this forum). It seems like her breeding program has gone downhill in last two years. I have confirmed from the breeder in Hungary that he sent the papers to her and he has no idea why she did not send them on either. The breeder in Hungary seems reputable so I do not believe he is in on this. I have no intentions of breeding the dog but as I mentioned, he was a gift for my daughter and she has put a TON of work into him and he is flying through all obedience work / classes. She is even considering Rally with him (definately not shutzhund material). The problem is that she will not be able to enter him into any AKC trials without the papers (or so I am told). At this point, all I want are the papers. If I do not get the papers I feel that something is amiss and I may have been the victim of a scam. I do believe the puppy is from the breeder because the genetics seem to be there. He was microchipped (I have #) and has a tattoo in ear. He is however a little timid (I have my own beliefs as to why) and seems to lack the focus I am used to in Sheps (again I have my own suspicions). He is however the perfect "lovebug" for daughter and a great "starter" shepherd for her.
I am now considering contacting local authorities to find out if I was a victim of a "bait and switch" because in my mind, without the papers, I paid $2800 for a mutt (no knock on mutts! Just not what I believed I was entering into a contract for)!
Or, I am considering legal action. Problem is that I am in NY and she is in Montana so this will be inconvenient...but it is about the principle of the thing!
Is there a way to get these papers without Hendricks?

I really just want the papers...and would really appreciate any information or advice this forum has to offer!
Thank you in advance

The breeder is well known.  I have not heard anything bad about them and they should be able to request another export pedigree.

Bhall,
As I mentioned...I do not believe he is the problem. I actually researched him two years ago and almost imported two puppies directly from him myself. He HAS returned all my emails; like a professional!
Thanks for info on export pedigree. If I do not hear from this woman I may ask him for one. I just hate to make him do extra work for someone else's lack of professionalisim! He did his part with sire and dam:http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=708524

sire:http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=614823
I would not think twice in getting a dog from him directly.

I would also like any contact information.  I bought a puppy almost 2 years ago and she has dysplasia in one hip.  I used this breeder because of the warranty she offered (my last shepherd had very bad dysplasia) and because of her advertised track record of orthopedically sound dogs.  Spent a lot of money and don't think I got my money's worth.  Now I can't reach her.

Thanks!

It is unfortunate you did not get what you paid for. I do not know this person or the type of dogs they produce, but a mutual friend is on her face book and I saw she was active on there just a day or so ago. Good luck.

i have had a similar experience with this breeder.  i still cannot get papers for a dog i purchased 6 mos ago.  He is a year old.  i do not get responses from Farah-  I would no longer recommend her to anyone and though i love my dog, he has "neurological problems" that are quite severe.  he is my second dog from her and was "imported" as was the first puppy who passed away very strangely-so i paid her for another dog due to my grief and he too is just not right..  No responses to my emails nor to calls i have placed to her..  i live in Bozeman MT and love him so the truth is he will live with us forever but i certainly did not get what i paid for and have had absolutely no resolution to issues..

i would certainly like the papers to make sure that i never get another dog of this bloodline but fear that is far less than likely.

Please let me know if any of you opt to do anything legally and need another resource to tell a similar tale-i will probably not take action because i have no interest in a battle..  When i got the vet report, i sent an email asking her to come and get him because i could not bear another heartbreak-no response.  so, i have a dog i love with huge vet bills that probably will never be capable of a normal life and surely will never be show caliber..  i paid 3k for him and the same for the other puppy who died after a strange series of balance issues that looked seizure-like.

what a mess..

To the OP- I've purchased several pups from Viernheimi kennel over the years, and NEVER paid anywhere near that for them.  So sounds like you got duped.  I did, however, always recieve all my paperwork from the Viernheimi Kennel, but always bought directly from them.  They are a reputable kennel, with nice dogs.

I wanted to respond to the OP. You can still enter AKC trials with ILP number. You can request one from AKC. Also your dog is young and not even a year old, try not and push as all dogs mature at different rates so even though you might think he has nerve issues, it could just be teen ager stuff that he will outgrow.

If you have the pedigree, you can get papers. Ive done it so I know other can do it. I would contact the kennel in Hungery and ask them to help you.  I would offer to pay for their time and even though you may not feel you should have to, it might be the difference between getting the papers and not.

Good luck
Barb

Cmills....to date the problem does not appear to be with Viernheimi Kennel s.  Laszlo has been very responsive.  As to being duped...when was the last time u purchased a puppy from them....it is no longer $800 for two.   I did not realize Kaykohl had imported from them until after I requested the pedigrees (before I sent money).  It probably cost Kaykohl $1500 to import the 2 puppies from Hungary to US (NY). Then an additional $400 from NY to Montana.  She then had the puppies for 4 weeks before I found mine.  She claimed he was trained and almost housebroken (BS). So if I got duped it was on Kaykohl end.  The $2800 I paid was for puppy AND shipping from Montana to NY.

Bhaugh...thank you for info. I actually planned on sending a gift to breeder if he comes thru with papers.

I also have a Kaykohl dog with bilateral HD, he's had one hip surgery and will need the other at some point. I have an e-mail from Farrah confirming she is going to give me a "replacement" puppy and putting me on her waiting list. She was very difficult to deal with for the problem but after several months of "no response" from her she finally agreed to the replacement pup but said it would not be until approximately the end of the year. I was told to watch her website for updates on pups and now the website is gone....I am not looking for another long drawn out battle with her but if that's what it takes.... She works for:

I have not been able to get an actual address for her and since she is a skiptracer I would imagine she is able to cover her tracks pretty well. I don't know if I'll ever get the puppy she promised me (mine is one from her line & not imported) but if she doesn't do what she said I'll continue to pursue this matter. He's a great dog but I also bought him because of her "low HD rates" and paid a good penny for him and it's costing me lots more for the surgeries. I would be interested in any additional info on how this is going & if anyone decides to act on this I have lot's of evidence of her lack of response & professionalism. Let me know if I can help. I am going to continue to go after her if she doesn't live up to her promise. I can't see her facebook page since she blocked me because I posted a comment for her to contact me regarding my pups HD when I wasn't getting a response from her to my e-mails, she took it down really fast & she finally answered my e-mail after that & then I found I was blocked from seeing her page.

Good luck to us all...

Last time I had a registered letter sent from the Czech Republic, they were mailed on Nov. 7th and arrived almost 4 months later.....

I contacted the USPS and the Czech post office and asked for help finding it. 2 days after USPS said they had not arrived in America, the papers finally appeared in my mail box.....

Just heard from breeder in Hungary (VIERNHEIMI.HU  )  and he has informed me that he cannot send me another copy of the papers because : " The problem is that these documents are already done, and they wont e another pedigree to a dog again. These pedigrees have been sent
to Farrah. Try to contact her somehow officially way and ask her to
give them to you"
It would appear I am out of luck....and am now mad enough to consider legal action.  I now know I am dealing with a crook.  Unfortunately, I also have now heard from plenty of people with the same or WORSE stories than mine.

I made contact with Farrah at Kaykohl and the papers were promised by the end of the month.  Will wait and see.

Funny how being brought out in the PDB light makes a person, breeder change their tune and do the right thing sometimes. I hope all others that had a problem with this breeder get some responses too. And,so as not to hi-jack this thread, I am going to shine a little light on WILLOW VALLEY. German Shepherds . I am getting all my FACTS togeather, and starting another thread.

Hi everyone,
Sounds like the problem I am having with Farrah is similar to everyone else's problems. We purchased a pup from her 2 years ago, and still have not received papers. We are going to OSA certify his hips and they said they need his papers... got on the web to find her website, and low and behold it is gone. How frustrating.... can anyone give me better contact info for her.. maybe an email address?
