This poor boy has been in the shelter for a while now. I've been told he is very sweet & not handling shelter life very well. His time is going to be running out soon.

This really saddens me that someone would just abandon their dog like that! Probably some college student who went back home.

I've been in contact with the shelter. They told me he has a ton of applications on him already so not in danger. But he is still there waiting -???, so asked if he needed to be fostered.
They told me to call / come back in a few weeks to see if he was still there.
He does have some aggression issues with guarding food, & if given a hard correction will come up on the leash. He doesn't do well if he feels cornered / threaten.
I don't think he sounds ready to go directly into a new home with out some additional behavior modification & training. I'll see in a few weeks what happens.
