I'm curious, does anyone know where we can find pictures of the very well known dogs, as puppies? Dogs like Mambo z Pohranicni Straze, Max van Teikerhook, Olex de Valsory, Nick Heiglenbosh (spelling?), Francesco Anrebri, Troll Milinda, Iltis von der Wildsau, and all the others that seem to be very well known or considered one of the "greats" so to speak.  I've always wanted to see what these dogs looked like as puppies, but it seems there are never pictures of them, videos from back then, or anything for that matter.  Anyone know?

Francesco Anrebri I think is on the Anrebri website, under his name, and under gallery.

I think its Frankie as a pup at their site..., in anycase there is no info on the temperament and puppy behaviours of these top dogs.

That would be brilliant to see, wouldn't it? The dogs that founded our bloodlines as puppies! If you find one of Wolf, you MUST let me know, GsdGuy08!

Guddu, he didn't ask about temperaments, he just wanted pictures. I don't blame him, I would LOVE to see pictures of the "Greats" as puppies too.

Ya know, GSDGuy08, I've always wanted to see pictures of Chuligan z Pohranicni Straze as a puppy. From the time I had my very FIRST GSD, she had Chuligan in her pedigree, and I loved his structure, his head, just everything. One of the best solid blacks I'd ever seen.

You know who else I'd love to see puppy pictures of? Oskar z Milberku, Ox Jirkova Dvora, Amon vom Patriot, Aaron v Poppitz, and Dargo Ha Ja Da.

All PHENOMINALLY great looking dogs. Funny that I didn't seem to want to include any females in my list, but those are the studs off of the top of my head that I'd LOVE to see more of, even goofy, non stacked shots of them would be wonderful.

We always could get ahold of Hans and see if he has any pictures of the old Czech dogs...don't know why I didn't think of it before.

DDRCzechFan, do you know, or does anyone know who owned Iltis (Wolf) before he was imported?  I'd love to know who owned him, and many of these dogs who were imported ......as a pup.  It makes me wander why people don't take more pictures of dogs as pups.....And no one say "because they're too busy training and working their dogs" or anything like that. I've heard things like that in the past when asking about certain things....It takes no time at all to snap a few pics.  "Especially" when the dog is training....After all there are more people there. I'd love to be able to hear from the club members who have seen all of these greats in person, train, trial, etc.

*sigh* GSDGuy, if I did, I'd be importing one just like him in a hot New York Minute...I wish I knew, and the one person who DID know is MIA. No idea where Chip is, and from the looks of it the last 4-5 years, he does NOT want to be found.

I would also like to see pictures/videos of the "greats" when they were young BUT I'm guessing.... considering how long ago it was since some of these dogs were pups, as they did not have digital camera's back then or many camera's with the focus etc that they have today, not many photo's were being taken.  Some of us (old ones) remember the cost of having those photo's processed - it was not cheap especially when a whole roll of film came out blurred:(.  The videos from back in the day would have to be formated so that the current day media could play them - would be nice to see some though.

I am just wondering, what has Frankie produced to make him in the "Great" section? Just asking, not bashing.

To those who wanted to see some pictures, I happened across this guy last night on my Facebook.

I don't think any of the dogs requested are on there, but there's quite a few old photos of some amazing dogs.

John Kennedy.......I'm saying "greats" or famous as in dogs who were well known and have many offspring out there.......Not referring to dogs who won the WUSV, or whatever else.....Just dogs that we hear about often.

Thanks for the picture of Frankie as a pup, he was a big boy.

DDRCzechfan, I'll check the link here in a bit.
