Definitely looks GSD to me, can't see why anyone would say Belgian.

Many people have not seen one before and they will think you have a cross or something. but he looks gsd to me.

There is nothing Belgian Shepherd about that pup.  

What did the people whom you got the pup from tell you he was?  Did he come with papers or pedigree?

There is possibility that he is Shiloh Shepherd, but he's most likely just pure German Shepherd

Looks like a long stock haired GSD, which, for some reason, people no dog knowledge seem to think is a "Belgian shepherd". I've lost track of how many times I've been asked if the west german STOCK coated dogs were "belgian shepherds." Just people who don't know any better, that's all.

they told me he is a belgian shepherd i always knew that he cant be and he looks pretty 100% german shepherd he is 4 months big paws and smooth shiny coat..no papers got him at a dog rescue this poor pup was recued after his whole body was full of ticks i havent seen so many ticks on a dog ever was horible it took us whole day to get him clear was one mission but worth it after all.thanx people

Bless your heart for taking this puppy in. He certainly looks no worse for wear now. You've rehabilitated him well and he will surely live a long wonderful life with you.

Clearly, the person who said this is a Belgian Shepherd has never seen a Belgian or German Shepherd!

thanx he is in good hands just had to seperate him as my other 2 males dont acept him at this point but soon he will be at home
