Anyone here ever see him in person? Also would like to hear from people who own progeny from him. What kind of temperment drive and so on. I am importing a female bred by him and I like what I see on youtube and his photos but am looking for the first hand comments. Thanks in advanced.

I too would be interested to know. They certainly are not short of prey drive. What about defensive drive and nerve. Some other czech "experts" have cast doubts.

I have not seen him but refered to him in an article I wrote - from what I am told he is a bit too over the top in his protection/combative work but then that might relate to his training and handling.
I hope you get some first hand replys and look forward to reading them.

Duke1965,
I love a person who can gracefully with the manipulation and careful construction of words say your an "idiot". Duke I have seen a lot of videos and seen his progeny on video, which is all we have here when it comes to a dog overseas. I have heard that he has a lot of drive and likes to fight the helper, also that he is very good looking. I am in the same situation a lot of Americans are in is that youtube and pictures is all we have at times. What I wanted to hear from people are the intangeables like his persona or the ora he gives off. The impression you get from him when you lay eyes on him. For example I have heared that some BSP winners when you see them or when they step on the field you know you are going to see magic, I have heard others that just look like regular run of the mill GSD's. Duke1965 so remember artful usage of words still cary the same meaning as "bite me"!!!!!!!!!!

The other mistake you made was when you used, "Duke1965" and "artful usage of words", in the same sentence. Did you read that mess of a post? LOL

I asked about him way back, about a video posted of him when they were doing some training with him.    Someone had mentioned he was trying to avoid the whip in the video when they would hit at his legs.  It's not a vid from a trial, but a video where they were training.

I met a daughter of Francesco Anrebri once, she was a very beautiful and intelligent dog, I was impressed with her demeanor.  I did not get to see her do any bitework but from the intensity in her eyes I believe she was fully capable, lol.
I don't have much personal experience, but so far I'm a fan of Francesco Anrebri.

I think the female has a lot more to do with it.  So far, the majority of temperaments seem to come from the mother in the dogs I've seen and the conformation from the males.

Anyone else find that?

Red Sable,  I agree with you.  So many times I see breeders breeding a female coward to a strong male hoping to balance the drives.  IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!!!

I strongly agree that so much comes from the mother. I am a fan of the Anrebri lines for their ability to work but also the looks, wow they produce some lookers.

eisenfaust , my post means nothing other than whats written , I see this happen many times , not only on internet but in person to , people breed to a dog or buy a dog or pup and afterwards start asking for info , it wont do you any good afterwards to hear you bought a lemon , this is generally speaking , not directed at your purchase

other option offcoarse is that people are not really after information , but just want people to know what they bought , any way , if you want great lookers , anrebri is definately the place to be , dont hear  bad things about health issues either from them , but like sable said , maybe if the bitch is buttugly , it wont bring you what you want

had a daughter out of him. yefri anrebri. she is a med drive bitch that is higher in prey than defense. i purchased her to get police dogs and they were told that. she was a sport dog if anything. i paid to have her titled zvv1. evidently they knew someone if you know what i mean.

Duke1965,
Like I said I have seen all the videos and pictures. What I was looking for were the things that you only know about from seeing the dogs. I have done the research that you mention. by the way I understand what you meant and I am not upset
am looking for the intimate info. Thanks for your response.
