I am really impressed that so many of you are doing so great with your dogs. Every month when I get "The Review", the first thing I look at are the names of the GSD's that have earned working titles; there are many familar kennel names including some well-known working dog breeders. That's nice to see.

I started with my Libby as a 7 week old puppy and trained her to:

SG Olivia vom Reichtal SchH3 (3x) IPO3 WH Kkl2 AD TR3 OB3 CD HIC CGC TC (my sister did the OB3 with her for experience in handling)

Then kept her daughter and raised/trained her to:

Brat vom Haus Weinbrand SchH3 OB1 AD CGC TC  (my sister actually trialed her for the SchH3 due to me being 9 months pregnant at that time, but I did all of the training myself - she just took the leash for the trial :))

Then kept her daughter and raised/trained her to:

SG Drama vom Haus Weinbrand SchH1 AD Kkl1  (my sister trialed her for her SchH1 also, as I had just had surgery and was unable to do it but didnt want to miss the trial - again my sister just took the leash for the trial, I did all training and plan to do her SchH2/3 myself).

I also trained/titled:

SG Yoga vom Haus Miller SchH1 Kkl2 CGC TDI TC - I bought her with a BH on her and put the SchH1, CGC/TDI, TC and SG rating on her.

I also helped to raise our first puppy and participated in his training, although my mom actually put his titles on him.

Gildaf, you must either be as old as I am or train a LOT (or both). I think you have truly gone to the dogs and I mean that in the most complimentary way LOL.

LOL Blitzen! I don't know how old you are...I'm trying to stay young but heading to the big 40 this year! I do train a lot. It's what I do. And I love it. I like to try my dogs in a lot of things. Test their versatility. I don't get hung up on one sport or another. I just want to have fun with my dogs and do what I enjoy and what THEY enjoy. And in the process, get some titles. I also forgot to put on my list that I have a Certified HRD/SAR dog. Out of my own breeding, trained since 8 weeks...BHOT!

You don't have to reveal your age Blitzen! Just don't say "oh, you are way older than me!" LOL!

I've owned 3 GSD
Bh through SchH3, WH, CGC on my first dog, now retired.
BH through SchH3, WH, CGC on my second dog then after a spay/mastectomy put an AWD1, IPO2, TR2 (V), RNX and RA (at 9 years of age) on her.
BH, WH and RN, CGC on my third dog (working toward other titles). She's also trial ready for novice agility and training for K9 Noseworks

Oh,  you are way older than me...I wish!!! I have kids way older than you. I never thought I'd still be at it after all these years, but once a dog nut, always a dog nuts I guess. I do OK, I'm just a lot slower than I used to be LOL.

6 - CGC
4- TDI

Just started almost two years ago.

BH one dog.  Hoping for Sch1 and 2 this year, we will see  (or whatever title they are calling it this year).

Judron you need to move to Chicago, we have 4 helpers in our club.  One is our TD and we 3 are kind of newbies but we get his dogs worked and well too.  He took his dog to nationals so we helped a bit.

As an aside i agree with Daryl you need an overview of different venues to breed good dogs.  Just breeding for sport or any one thing gets extremes.

Anyways great accomplishments by everyone, looks like i have a lot of catching up to do to get to where you all are.

I am really impressed by the hard work that all of you guys have done to/for your dogs.  That is a lot of time, effort and committment and I truly respect what you have done.

I am about to die just trying to obtain my BH.  lol

I am humbled by the success of you guys and keep up the good work.

Just some uninteresting AKC stuff with another breed, Jim. AKC Champions, yikes!!!!  Nothing much with this breed yet, only an RN and I'm working on an AD, CD and tracking.  My first GSD was too sick to train, my second had a bad temperament. My third was a really great female with a lot of titles, but I didn't do any of it. She motivated me and I'm still in the GSD learning curve with my 4th GSD that I've had 6 months. Maybe I'll have something to report in another 6 months.

Nice to see so many pdb members working and titling their dogs!

Duchess Liberty of Bayberry "Libby" was my first dog I did any ob with.  Put a CGC, TDI, CD and RE on her.
Felice vom Amulree "Molly" - Bh, SChI, TRII, CD, RA, CGC and TDI.

Hoping to go a little further in Sch with my current female, but am not near ready to title yet.

dencil and i train and sell police and ppd. we don't take them all the way as they are sold between 8 and 12 months to various people and departments.
i have never titled a dog in sport. i really can only guess at the number of dogs we have inprinted for police. being on the low side i would think well over 200 between the two of us. i, myself, have sent out over 40 and dencil has been at it a lot longer than myself.
the thing about selling police and ppd, you get almost no publicity as to what your dogs have done or is doing.
some of the other kennels will buy our dogs and sell them as their own to police as they don't require papers for them.
believe me though, there is a lot that goes into this type training and all dogs don't make it through the training. these are sold for club sport, family or property protection.
