| From puppies to SchH 3, two dogs. KKL'd, AD, Breed Survey. I only have one working dog at a time. Current dog from a puppy was ready for a SchH 3 but decided to use him as my Police K-9. Retrained him as my dual purpose Patrol and Narcotics K-9. Had to eliminate the hold and bark, have taught him to track on asphalt/concrete and scent discrimination tracking. Awesome Patrol and Narcotics K-9, . I have decoyed for many SchH dogs developing them from pups all the way to SchH 3 over the years. Still work and train Police dogs and SchH dogs every week, when I'm not working the street. I have also handled dogs at the Sieger show and used to show and handle my own dogs. Jim |

| I train and title my dogs myself, I have just joined a Schutzhund club, and I love, love, love it! I am having a big problem though on who to do what with....as I am only one person...I have decided I will try and earn a BH and AD on my 6 year old Theo, cause we started late and you can't get an AD on a dog after it reaches the age of 7 yrs. I will concentrate on the old 6yr old and the young 10 month old...but having ADD, I'll probably bounce around and take forever....(stay focused....stay focused...... So far I have started Theo 6yrs, Oeht 16mos., Eartha Kitt 16mos. & Maggie 10mos. in Schutzhund, they all love it, but I need to focus....so...I plan on trying to obtain a ScH1 on the old boy Theo who is 6yrs. Theo has his Companion Dog title, his Rally Novice title, his herding instinct certificate, he is a reg. therapy dog and has completed over 50 visits, he can do it all, but he has me for a trainer Not a real title but (Canine Good Citizens 9 GSDdogs..) 2 dogs CD 2 dogs RN 4 dogs Therapy dog certified 5 dogs Herding Instinct certificate |

| 3 dogs to BH (one from 12 week old, one from 18 month old and one from 5 month old) 1 dog to SchH 1 1 dog to TR II and OB II I've been doing the sport as my hobby (I have a full time job and busy 7 year old) since 2007. Currently my female and the first GSD I owned and trained (SchH1) is working towards her FH titles and my male having passed his BH is working towards his SchH 1. Weather, job and family permitting these titles and perhaps more will happen in 2012. |

| Between the two of us? a few 6+ to SchH3-couple of those also made IPO3 Korungs & show ratings on all. Re-survey's on most. A few SchH1's & SchH2's (a couple were for friends) BH's as well for a couple friends dogs. FH's on 3 CD's, 2 CDx's. CGC's, a couple therapy dogs as well. All our own dogs were from puppies. Always have been, always will. What did we get in return for all this? An education and insight into what makes our dogs "tick". You learn by doing I guess that's why I find the lame excuses people use for NOT working their dogs in something so pathetic, there is some kind of venue you can achieve some recognized title in with your dog, especially if you call yourself a breeder. ANYONE can do a CD, even a little "mutt" off the street can get a CD. |

Wll then, you're a discrace to the breed for NOT becoming a breeder. There's no shortage of trainers with big mouths that have no interest or talent for breeding, either. |

| What titles have your dogs earned, Daryl? |
by darylehret on 01 February 2012 - 13:26 |
| Earning titles does NOT make a breeder. ANYONE can put two titled dogs together. I spent three years in schutzhund playing around with already titled dogs. By the time I was ready to title one of my own home raised dogs, the wife and I split, and I moved on to learn other venues. I personally feel a breeder can benefit from some experience in multiple venues. |

Actually I was hoping this thread would be answered by those who do think it's important to title and who are proud of what they have accomplished with their dogs. If you want to debate the merits of titling or not, you may want to start a new thread. Thanks.... |

| LOL Oh ok. I'll leave the breeding to the 'experts' like you Daryl It takes some real experience to put a less than 2yr old bitch under a male with no health clearances or working titles. But then again, you've also bred father to daughter too right? Yup, *I'm* a disgrace. Lmao |

| I started in 1992 with a puppy I bought from Tim and Lori Cruser. Raised trained and titled from 8 weeks old by myself - Ayla v Haus Cruser - multiple X Schh3, FH, CDX, TD, working therapy dog. Xinerobella v Tiekerhook, imported with IPO1 title but shotty training - retrained her and titled her BH, Schh1,2,3 - IPO3, FH, AD, KKl-2lifetime. Xinerobella "Ike" was my foundation female for my breeding program. Arrow v Zuckerburg "Adra" was my first home-bred dog, trained/titled myself multiple-times Schh3 competed National level. FH, AD, KKl-2 lifetime. Cynnor v Eichenluft "Zeke" was B-HOT - multiple-times Schh3, FH, KKl-1lifetime. V-Eagle v Eichenluft also B-HOT - 25X Schh3 competed 19X at Regional and National level, on the 2004 FCI World Team, multiple-times FH and FH National Champion, FH2, AD, KKl-1 lifetime. He was also trained by myself for human remains detection. "Nova" Sequoyah v Gebirgshaus - daughter of Eagle, - she is not HOT as she received training and her BH elsewhere, but titled by myself to Schh1. Aeros v Heulenluft - another B-HOT - a dog from my show-line breeding program. Train/titled by myself to Schh2, KKl-1. Kobra v Eichenluft also raised from a pup and trained by myself, achieved her BH and certified Narcotics K9 detection. Brix v Eichenluft, raised/trained by myself toward schh titles, not titled in schh (time constraints) but earned his HGH with a V score under the training/handling of Ulf Kintzell. I had him breed surveyed also. Sabre v Eichenluft has also joined my breeding program, she earned her BH and Schh1 under a trainer (Jeff Rentz) and also has SG and KKl-2. I have earned the bronze, silver, gold and Master's Gold sports award medals through UScA. I am a breeder who considers working titles of utmost importance for a breeder who is producing dogs for working. I also import titled, breed surveyed dogs for my program. I do not use untitled dogs for my program. molly Eichenluft |
