| Hi, I am trying to trace the breeeder of a dog that a friend purchased about 2 years ago. the dog is now approx 3 years old. The dog is black and tan, but more black than tan We do not have anything to identify the dog other than the tattoo in his ear which reads 57374. I know it's a shot in the dark, but does anyone have any ideas as to what countries would use a five digit number in a dogs ear? as I know some use letters and numbers combined also. It's only a guess but think the dog may have come possibily come from Germany or Belgium. Any ideas or help would be grately appreciated. Thank you. Alan. |

| Hi Germany dont have this tatoo,they have like this S-I 3422,that can be from Serbia or Croatia,we have here number in tattoo without letters |

| Czech Republic and Slovakia use 5 digit numbers, no letters. |

| Thanks for the replies. I'll try and see if I can locate a Czech/Slovakian contact to start the ball rolling.... I think it's going to a long drawn out job though. But i'll persist! Thanks All. |
