ITS A SHAMEFUL THING THAT NOW DAYS HERE IN INDIA EACH AND EVERY DOG SHOWS ARE FIXED. VERY EASILY ONE CAN FIX THEM BY OFFERING OR SPENDING SOME GOOD MONEY TO THIS SO CALLED HONORARY JUDGES. SOME OF THE LOCAL JUDGES PREFERRING THEIR HOME BRED DOGS IN LINE UPS OR THE DOGS WITH THEIR FAVORITE HANDLERS WHO ONCE GAVE THEM GOOD BUSINESS. ITS NOT REMAINED ANYMORE FOR HOW WELL YOUR DOG PERFORMED OR IN WHAT CONDITION YOU HAVE SHOWN YOUR DOG.
WE KNOW THAT THIS ARE NOT NEW THINGS WHAT WE HAVE SEEING THIS DAYS. BUT UNFORTUNATELY EACH OF US NOW DAYS BECAME USED TO IT.
THE PERSON WHO HAS SPONSORED THE SHOW GOT ALL THE RIGHTS TO GO BACK HOME WITH TROPHY OF BEST IN SHOW IN THEIR HANDS.
THE WORST PART IS OUR YOUTH IS ALSO NOT LEFT BEHIND TO CARRY FORWARD THIS LEGACY OF FIXING THE RINGS AND DIRTY POLITICS OF THIS GAME.
RECENT EXAMPLE OF THIS IS LABRADOR, BOXER AND GREAT DANE SPECIALTY DOG SHOWS WHICH HELD IN PUNE MAHARASHTRA. IN WHICH ALL THE EXHIBITORS CAME TO KNOW THE REAL FACE OF ORGANISERS AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS.
THE JUDGING IN LABRADOR SHOW WAS A BIG JOKE AS WELL AS IN BOXERS WHICH JUDGED BY ONE OF OUR LOCAL HONORARY JUDGE.
IT WAS TIGHT SLAP ON THE FACE OF ALL THOSE EXHIBITORS WHO CAME ALL THE WAY TO ATTEND THIS SHOW WITH THEIR DOGS ON WHICH THEY HAD WORKED WHOLE YEAR FOR BETTER RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE.
ONCE THIS ORGANIESERS, COMMITTEE MEMBERS WERE ALSO AGAINST FIXING SHOWS AND CORRUPTION IN INDIAN DOG GAMES. UNFORTUNATELY NOW THEY ARE ALSO NOT REMAINED EXCEPTIONS TO THIS DIRTY POLITICS.

ANYONE HERE HAVE ANY SOLUTIONS TO KEEP THIS DYING SPIRIT OF SPORTSMANSHIP WELL AND TRULY ALIVE IN OUR INDIAN DOG GAMES, CAN SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES AND THOUGHTS ABOUT IT.

WISHING ALL THE EXHIBITORS FIXING FREE GAMES

Hi,

Everyone who is planning to show the dog must understand this clearly in his mind that having a good dog and having a winning dog are two totally different things. If this is not well understood then one can only end up in frustration.

At the same time one must understand Judging is also a thankless job. Judge can not satisfy everyone in the ring. No matter how fair the judging is there always will be unsatisfied people. Because dog show judging is more like a bodybuilding contest and not a weight lifting contest. In Bodybuilding everything depends on the liking of the judge whereas in weight lifting that question does not arise as the winner is the one who lifts the maximum weight.

So exhibitors be prepared to face the "POLITICS" "PARTIALITY"  whatever you call it of the show game and learn the tricks to win the show. or else better enjoy a good dog at home and enjoy the show as visitor.

Thanks.

Hello,
This is a very hard thing to avoid corruption is now world wide in all forms what I would suggest is that at least once a year at your top shows you bring judges from other nations such as America or Canada or south America I know this is not going to solve everything but you would get an honest opinion about your dogs plus it will let you know if you dogs are of the quality of the breed standard.

Might as well call this thread "the bitter truth about damn near every dog show". Welcome to the dog world. Or horses. As long as you produce sound, healthy, working quality dogs, and do business with others honestly, who really gives a damn where the dogs place. As someone on this board said so very well once, "What wins and what's good for the breed are not always the same thing." Colleagues who are like-minded will gravitate to each other. Don't let it get to you.

I take it you have evidence of such corruption? If not, then are you making these accusations because your dog didn't win? If you do have evidence, what/where is it?

As already stated , why not bring in jedges from other countries. Or if you think your dog is so perfect, take your dog to other countries' dog shows.
