Heavy Metal, I was one of the posters that stated I would bring the puppy to the seminar and confront Hans and Jiri in person. I also stated that the correct and ethical thing for Hans to do would be to drive to Tuscon and refund Chrissy's money. Ironic that Hans did just that a day later? Yes, the posts on this forum had nothing to do with Chrissy getting her money back!!!!! I think Jiri needs to see the puppy and apologize for his "f**** up." Since Hans some how got the idea to drive to Chrissy and reimburse her there is not much need for her to go to the seminar. I'm glad the dog that you got from Hans is working out. You are one of the few of his thousands of satisfied customers that actually came here and said anything positive about their experience. The point of this thread was to get Hans to acknowledge his mistake and make good on that. That is all he has done, which is the bare minimum IMO.

And if I am not mistaken , Slamdunc has sat at Hans and Debbies table in Arizona and eaten a meal with them.

So I do n't think we need to worry about anyones Hands around anyones THROAT//

When I worked for a vet, a lady brought in a litter of poodle puppies for their wellness check. The vet checked hearts, lungs, eyes, hips and knees for laxity, and also checked bites. Now, this was a vet that was NOT into showing dogs, and even HE spotted a bit of an over/under bite problem on two of the puppies, and informed the owner of it!

As others have siad, it's pretty hard to believe two experienced dog people would miss such a severe overbite.

I think Slam summed it up perfectly, Hans @ Alpine K9 did the bare minimum.

The refund was paid out only after Slamdunc's suggestion to Crissy to keep all the paperwork and emails ect. together and take him to court, Then the next day edited to remove  personal attack posted he was going to refund her money with shipping cost included. By doing this he thought that this would satisfy everyone here, but he seems to forget rather quickly about all the others that have been screwed by him and his ole mighty contract. Maybe if Hans would take time to check out the pups that come into the airport that he charges the clients a fee to be the broker. And not only take time to count his money before leaving he would not run into issues like this one

As for the vet missing the over bite, well don't you think that this vet isn't in Jiri's back pocket. That's if the vet even seen the pups before shipping

No, he means the other discount vet that "sees" Jiri's dogs/pups before shipping.

The arguments against Hans and Jiri would make a lot more of an impact if there was an attempt made to make them factual or articulate, or even better, both. No matter how "right" you think you are or may be, the presentation leaves so much to be desired that unbiased people reading it just might be swayed against the anti-Hans camp for certain comments. A classy, well-said argument based on facts goes a lot further than fat jokes and crude, immature insults.

Yay, Chrissy!  Awesome that his elbows are fine!

And that's about all I have to say, so you can all breathe a collective sigh of relief. LOL

As  predicted and as was just emailed, it's likely that my post won't even be understood by half of the contributors on this thread. ;-)

Congrats, Frank. You're the first (of many, likely) to miss the point.  You're not even close. But if you can read that post and come back with yours, there's not much I can do. Someone will likely "get it" and explain it. I'm done with this thread since the elbows are good and it's pretty much over, far as I can tell.

Jenni, how is what was said about Hans any worse than what you said about Sonia?  IMO your argument wasn't delivered in a classy fashion either and maybe garnered sympathy for her rather than against her, thus against Hans.

Anyway, I honestly believe people are going to make up their minds based on the facts of what happened, not on how some presented their opinions.  It is obvious that some people on here have had bad dealings with Hans and are still angry and  upset, and that others who were formerly in his camp defending him, are now disillusioned and feeling like possibly they were wrong in their loyalties because of what has happened to more innocent unsuspecting buyers.

That being said, Hans did step up to the plate and do the right thing.

Now Chrissy's Kaiser has good elbows which is one less worry to deal with, money to help fix the hip and a whole new lease of life.  HOORAY for that!

Regardless of how we went about it, the end result was one everyone wanted (I think), so all is well that ends well - in my books anyway!

Cheers!
