Hello,

First I will ask you a favor, not to attack me with your opinions on how bad I am as parent for my dog.
What I am looking for is a support!!! If this post drive's you crazy, just skip it and go to the other post.
No offence, Thank you for understanding.
It is never to late to ask and learn.
Okay...

I have a show line GSD from SCHH3 2X VA1 Father and IPO1 VA1(LT) VA3(PL) Mother.
I live in Toronto, Ontario, Purchased almost 5 month old Import from Poland Puppy.

I think I've started well with him, run, walk, home break, all basic things and commands, but all this time was worry about his ears, which was a cause of loosing my confedence in him and expectations I had.
At 6 month his LEFT ear went up, at 7 month both ears was up, at 8 month his LEFT ear went down, and since that it is still down, he will be 2 y.o in February 2012. Dog always get brushed, ears cleaed, teeth brushed, bathed 2-3 times a year, I dint see any infections in his ears, I really paid attention t o it. Today I  see a redness in area where his ear is folds, right beside a tattoo. I ve tried to use a glue, but no help.
so this made to loose my confedens and expectations as I ve mentioned.

my first question, if this male still able to get tittles for breeding?
Second questions:
I didnt not provide him a right training for him to compete in shows. Do I still have time to make him to do so? or it is to late.

Please tell me in possitive maner what should I do, if yes i still have chance please tell me a sourse or in your words what my steps are should be.

My Best Regards,

YES you can still train and title a dog.  Working trials and titles do not take conformation into account.  The pup could be missing and ear and still earn his Schutzhund titles.

YES you can still ring train him and show him.  I don't really understand the problem?  His ears look like they are up?  Lots of GSDs have other ear problems like minor infections, dermatitis, etc.  I have a three year old male who loses hair on the tips of his ears when it gets cold and dry and I show this dog.  He was SG rated at 13 months and is a UKC Champion.

It's almost never to late. Find a good club & go for his schutzhund titles. He might not have a high confirmation career if he has a ear down but you can still do a breed survey with him. In the photo his ears look fine, do you have a more recent picture with his ears down?
Either way I'm sure you'll have fun with him & able to learn along the way.

His ear really is straight but flopped at the base, which isn't what I was expecting to see when you said it "flops".

Have you had your vet check him for an inner ear infection?  I know you said you clean them, but you cant always get down deep.  Does he ever tilt his head or shake his head?

"His ear really is straight but flopped at the base." - not really, on that picture may look like that, but it is close to the base.

Yes, I did check twice at the Vet, no problems what so ever. and he doesnt show any symptoms such as shake or tilt his head.
as I ve mention above a redness in area where his ear is folds, right beside a tattoo

btw, this ear sometimes is up, for a min or two.

Looks like he's good with kids! Any dog that's good with kids is worth his weight in gold, no matter what his ears do! jackie harris

kpo,
I agree with Jackie, plus I looked at your other post from an earlier time.
Train him for yourself and appreciate him for what he is, a member of your family.
Worry not about titles and breeding.

The ear may have broken cartilage from any number of causes which gluing, something I hate , will not cure.
If your vet could not find a problem then what's done is done.

He's still a handsome animal and if raised right would probably give his life to protect your family, thats worth more than any title or a floppy ear in my opinion.

If breeding was the only reason you bought him, shame on you.

If you want to do Schutzhund I see no reason why you should not, just enjoy it and make sure he does as well.

There are all kinds of things you can do with him besides Schutzhund, just love him above all else, he deserves that.

Moons.
