IS IT TRUE ARAK DE LA FERME owner buy VA1 at NASS ?? by Ober on 22 October 2011 - 19:34 |
| Has anyone heard this??...is there anyone from the show that hear this over there ?? |
by ScH2011 on 22 October 2011 - 22:04 |
No, He did not buy the VA 1 Title, HE PURCHASED A SUPERB DOG WITH A VERY SUCCESSFUL CAREER AND MORE THAN CAPABLE TO ACHIEVE THE VA 1 TITLE IN HIS OWN RIGHT. |

| I did not say he did..is a rumor,I am asking if anyone heard it....... but if you are talking about a successful dog, 1.ARAK is oversized, that is why he never competed in Germany after the young class nor received a V or VA in the top show BundenSieger Zuchshaus and just this alone should have him not making VA let alone winning, ANYONE IN SHOWS KNOW THIS...2. He is very poor in bitework.....3.He lacks predominantly black face and neck...4. He is a thin, narrow dog..sorry,just stating the facts |

| Tomorrow we will see who makes VA-1 NASS Sieger..may the BEST Dog win! |

| Well Ober, you are entitled to your "personal opinion". |

| We will all know tomorrow wether the dog can earn a V or VA rating. Check to see if he passed bitework online now.i |
by Mystere on 23 October 2011 - 05:25 |
| He passed the bitework, so I guess that was not so poor as to be noticeably worse than others. |

| Fernendez@FL said: "For some he may be oversized but that is on some eyes and opinions; for other he is just perfect." Forgive me for my ignorance, I know very little about show dogs. But I was under the impression there was a written standard for size? |
by autobahn on 24 October 2011 - 15:41 |
| Lol. There is also a written standard for bitework but that doesnt always get followed. |
by Fernandez@FL on 24 October 2011 - 19:48 |
| Autobahn, is correct and that is what I meant. Sure there are guidelines, a judge can fallow them or bend them depending on how the dog overall performs, and there is a lot that plays during a judge decision. But you are both correct, there are guidelines and not always they are fallowed. So it is on whose eyes and what they are looking for during a show. Arak will do well, regardless of his size, we seen this before. |

| Judges do their work, sometimes they are correct and sometimes they are not and maybe influenced by let us say the trend or powerful breeders etc, but still we should give our opinions and judgements based on the standard, when we give an opinion which does not go by the standard we should mention that otherwise the newbies would get confused and we would be encouraging further slipping away from the standard. Example, XXXXX dog is oversized as per the standard but other than that he's almost perfect, and or if bred to smaller bitches offspring will be great, and or him being oversized does not justify removing him from being a remarkable stud. Arguments shouldn't go to; so what! many other dogs are oversized like xxxx dog, or guidelines are not followed, let's not justify faults of a dog because others have the same and are getting away with it. Just my opinion with no offense to any or to the subject dog which I don't know and never seen. Ibrahim |

Ibrahim, yes you are absolutely correct and you explained well, Amen! |
