SV Körmeister Judge Erich BöslHaving discovered a love for animals at an early age, Erich Bösl joined the SV in 1977. In December 1978 he established his breeding program under the kennel name "von der Piste Trophe." Only two years later, in 1980, he won the North Bavarian Regional Show (his home area) in the youth class with his female "Jessy von der Wienerau". In 1990 he presented for the first time a breeding group at the BSZS ("Siegershow").
Through the years of continious work this kennel has produced many top ranking dogs and the kennel "von der Piste Trophe" is well known all over the world. The dog In 1993 Erich Bösl became an SV judge. He has judged in many countries of the world. In 1999 he was nominated as Körmeister. He is also LG 19 breed-representative (LG Zuchtwart) in Nothern Bavaria. Erich Bösel had been awarded the very enviable task of judging the working class females at BSZS 2010 in Nürnberg. In 2000 he judged the youth class males at BSZS in Bremen, and his very convincing winner that year was SG1 Bax von der Luisenstrasse. Bax later, in 2003, became VA1. |

SV Körmeister Judge Albrecht WoernerAn independent architect by profession, Albrecht Woerner has been active in the SV since 1975. Many famous dogs stem from his kennel “vom Thermodos,” crowned by the ultimate victory in 2006 of World Sieger Zamp vom Thermodos. The “Thermodos” kennel name owes to Herr Woerner’s fascination with Greek mythology. Living close to the Neckar river in Germany, Herr Woerner’s dogs often walked the banks and frolicked in the waters. The kennel name was born in 1978, when Herr Woerner recalled legends surrounding the river Thermodos located in Hades (especially those of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, bathing with her favorite mortal Adonis). An SV Breed Judge since 1992 and Körmeister since 1997, Herr Woerner has judged all over the world, including the German Sieger Show in 2007 and 2008, and most recenty, the GSDCA-WDA Inaugural National Universal Sieger Championship.

For those not yet entered but considering entering, time may be short. Here's a list of what you will need to do to complete your entry for a puppy.

| Good advice, Randy; I'm currently helping a friend through the process. There are a couple of things can be done to streamline the process...order the 4 generation pedigree at the same time as the registration and download and print the tattoo/microchip verification form from the WDA website and take it with you and have the vet fill it out when the dog is microchipped. In my experience, the things that will take the longest are getting your WDA membership processed and getting the tatto/microchip verification on the 4 generation pedigree. I doubt that there is time now to announce a new member, ask for objections and process the membership before the show but there is an allowance for a pending membership on the entry form leaving the tattoo/microchip verification as the last potential sticking point. I'm not sure how they will handle a situation in which you've sent in your verification form and pedigree but they haven't had time to process it yet...that would be a question for Cindy or Joy...I'd keep copies of the paperwork when you submit it, though, just in case. |

Can those of us going as spectators stay at the host hotel or is it only for the competitors? If not, can someone recommend a nice hotel close by....: ) Thanks |

| "Perhaps they will verify and certify pedigrees at check in like they did last year? The paperwork needed to be completed and signed.....they just certified it at check in." I wasn't aware that they did this last year but it makes sense. Good news for my friend! |

| "Can those of us going as spectators stay at the host hotel or is it only for the competitors?" I doubt there are any restrictions...how would the hotel know if you are an exhibitor or not? |
by Ruger1 on 02 September 2011 - 12:58 |
Keith, Cool..I was hoping other people would feel that way about it, that was my thought too....; ) Will there be a list posted prior to the show of the dogs that will be competing.... I am so excited!!!! |

| I don't think there are restrictions. Perhaps you get a better deal if you are a WDA member but I've never heard of the host hotel only allowing exhibitors. I think in the past there has been a list on their web site, after entries are closed. |
by Keith Grossman on 02 September 2011 - 13:28 |
| Last year, the entries were being posted to the web site as they were received and verified; not sure what the plan is this year. |

I have an e-mail to Cindy to confirm about microchip/tattoo verification at NASS. This is too important to assume. |
