Axel's first trip to the beach!

Took the pup up to the Indiana Dunes last Saturday...this was his first time swimming and he had a blast!  I couldn't keep him out of the water!

His girlfriend for part of the day, Denali...

Thank you!  I think it was his funnest day ever.  He likes to train but that day he just got to be a dog and play...and then he slept for two days!  lol...

AWESOME, OK I've seen enough GSD's in the water now. And come hell or high water, my pups and I are going to find a place to swim before the damn 6 month winter settles in. Great shots of your boy Keith. He's very cool. Keep up the great FUN with them!!!   Take Care Pete

Pete, take them to Big Rock. Or heck, even my subdivision pond. I bet they'll follow what they see the others doing.

GermanShepherd<3...Axel is a son of VA2 (NASS 2010) Ricco von der Zenteiche and a Vegas du Haut Mansard grandson bred by Susan Dannis.  She's on the forum here as GSDDVM but I'm not sure how often she gets on here.  PM me if you'd like contact information.

Sorry, Jenn, that should have been mostest fun...or is it mostest funnest...funner than all other days?  Steve Jobs and I had this same conversation before he declared the latest iPad the "funnest ever" and we decided that when you have greater cash reserves than the U.S. Government, you can take liberties with the language.

A very nice Looking Lad he is to, i wish i could let my Dogs swim but alas there are no Rivers much in Belgium and i cannot find any ponds around my place.

Nice Keith.  I love the half-flop ear thing while swimming, mine does that too, you know they are thinking, "Don't want that water in my ear!"

Also, he's so red behind the ears, did you forget the sunblock?

Great pix! I can't wait to take Bijou to the beach. Its about 2.5 hrs each way, but well worth the trip to see my boy having a ball in the water.

Great pics, yours too GSDDVM, beautiful!  I have a pond where my trailer is and I bought this pedal boat, and the dogs swim around with me out there and love it.   A great way to poop them out.



Keith, we also have a doggy playmate named Denali  only she is an English Mastiff.  Must be a popular  name for BIG dogs!
