It took him a whole 10 minutes to assess the situation and find a solution. He's gotten significantly quicker at problem solving since the last time he encountered an Egge.

Pharaoh had an egge and a large jolly ball from the same company.  He loved both of them, especially the 14 inch push ball.

He liked to fling it high into the air and catch it on the back of his head, roll it down his spine and flip it into the air again with his tail.  He looked like a circus dog and loved it more that anything in the world.

Several people warned me that it would damage his teeth.  It did.  It ground them down.  He picked up both toys like your dog does.  I threw them both in the garbage.  So, so very sad.

Alas, Raven lost his Egge in the tall grass, and it hasn't been seen since *tear*

Does anyone else have a dog that choses a favorite toy, and then mopes when its either destroyed or MIA? Raven's Egge, and a badly beaten Cuz ball are his. I tried replacing the old Cuz with a new one. He ignored the replacement, and stared at the garbage till I fished the old one out. Don't ask me how he knew it was in there. I swapped them while he was outside.

Where did you get the Egge? Mine would love that, they love the hard plastic jolly balls.  I recently got one that was softer rubber they demolished it in less than an hour.  And yes on the toy question I used to have a female that had a yellow rubber duckie, she wouldn't play rough with it for the first week or so she had it, she slept with it and took it everywhere.  When the first one got demolished I thought any rubber duck would do and I was wrong.  She moped until I found a rubber duck that looked just like the first one, I used to always keep 2 or 3 extras.  It would take her a day or two to actually start using the new ones.

Mine loves her soft bite frisbee.....I have had to replace it so many times from getting swept down rivers or caught in tall trees.

My male Malinois has this stupid blue bone shaped plastic toy that is his favorite.  I am currently using a knee walker to get around and forbid if I should run over it or kick it or even look like I might touch it he goes crazy.  He carries it around like he did the Ground Hog he killed earlier this week - which by the way I refused to let him bring in the house.

One of the regional shows was sponsoring their own vender booth next to the food. Sitting there was the Egge; and I just had to get it

Kind of ironic that I'm gonna have to go on an Egge hunt. LOL  Sorry to hear about your knee Judy, hopefully it is something that will get better soon.

Update: The long-lost Egge was found as the tall-grass dried up! Raven is very happy to have it back.

The gal in my sig had a much-loved stuffed panda bear. One day I was taking the clothes out of the washer, and she came downstairs and gave me a look. I knew she wanted SOMETHING, but when I opened the basement door to let her out into the backyard, she wouldn't go.

Finally, she gave up and walked away.

With the next handful of clothes I pulled out, there was the panda bear!  I knew then that was what she'd wanted, and gave it to her, even though it was still wet.

It was her comforter, and she'd often lie on her side, and just chew on it gently. She never tried to tear it apart. It did develop a small rip eventually, but I sewed it back up.

When she died at age 14 1/2, I buried it with her.

I was glad I did. All three of the dogs I have now would have ripped it to shreds within minutes!

We had a number of stuffed toys lined up along the back of the couch, and she never tried to touch them. When we got her a new panda, it took me quite some time to convince her that it was okay to play with it. Funny, I don't remember what happened to that toy. Her old panda was always her favourite.

I bet Raven was a happy pup after finding his Egge!
http://www.elitek9.com/Egg-Dog-Toy/productinfo/R03/  has the best price on them.
it does wear down the teeth on dogs that are crazy for it. Karlo chewed the small end so he could carry it.
I had to take his away(along with his teaserball, jollyballs).  His canines are flat and he is only 2.  The frozen jollyballs are probably what did it.  I'll give him one every now  and then for a few minutes to watch his craziness.
