| i have gotten a few ones that i have bin like o.o this one isnt too bad but the add i have up says i only have a silver sable male available. I am interested in a male puppy intact black and tan purebred german shepherd Where are you located? Anyone else wish to share their unique puppy questions or emails about pupppys place it here i think its interesting how people approch breeders. when i do i try to explain my entire story and what im looking for in a dog before i even talk to the breeder so they can tell me if they may have something that will fit in with what i want. |

honestly e-mail over a pet isnt good.. i call them, talk to them. see what kind of dog weight etc.. then i get in my truck and drive to where they live, doesnt matter about location. i look then buy. for are guy. talk to the breeder for 30 min. set a time and drive to see the puppy couple days later.. fell in love and bought the puppy the following week. lol i miss when people use to do business with a handshake.. not a contract.. that just shows all the shady people that have been created.. |

| I get calls about what color they are. I also do business with a handshake. Do the puppies bite ? I don't like that, was a pretty special caller. |

| I think we have all gotten at least one request looking for a big dark male that bites but doesnt bark. Oh and they want him for breading...Always wondered what a breaded shepherd tasted like :) |

| I heard that them sheppards with two p's are rare and worth more, especially if you want one breaded already. |

| XDXD they would like my poor guy he was debarked by his previous owner and he is a black sable. :p hes big black and dosent bark with bite hahahaha. but i perfer him un breaded XD i have my special typos especialy if im on a rant but dang. i also got one today about someone wanting a female from me to breed she has a 3 yr old male so i asked her what she did with him and she told me she didnt relly have time to do anything with him.......... so why want another dog LETALONE getting 12 dogs lol its a full time jobb |

| We do rescue and place pups after fostering one lady called me and said that she wanted one of our 8 week old pups BUT the dog MUST be housetrained won't chew and definately can't jump up on you. I told her she needs a stuffed animal NOT a living/breathing dog. Bunch of nuts out there! Amy |

OK, tried to stay out of it, but could not...
This is your resident Eccentric in one of the all too frequent moments of "WTF?!!!"
I announced expecting puppies on FB and pedigreedatabase, got many inquiries. So far, so good. NOT.
I will be somewhat relieved if she has only a couple, but it looks like she will have a reasonably large litter.
As a new breeder I am astounded with the questions I get from people who may want to buy a puppy.
At this point, I'm ready to tell most of them to piss off and buy a wind-up doll as that seems to be what they want me to promise them!
I, somewhat naively, believed that the parents' accomplishments spoke for themselves. Ie., sire, three times represented Canada at the Worlds and passed all times, earning SG scores in all three phases. My female, with a first-time owner/handler, goes High In Trial for her first SchH3 and then High SchH3 far from home. No, apparently this is not enough.
Now for the comedy (and I have not been able to restrain myself in my replies). Too bad, I'll never sell puppies. DH says I just don't understand marketing strategies.
1. How is your female in the house?
A: She is always busy trying to wreck something.
2. How is your female in her crate?
A: She is generally trying to get out.
3. How is she with other dogs?
A: She hates them.
4. How is your female with children?
A: She loves them, wants to jump all over them and lick them to pieces.
5. Is she vocal, does she bark?
A: Yes!!!
6. Is she "spinny"?
A: She does tend to circle when waiting for crippled me to ascend the stairs to our nightime ritual, which is a cookie in the crate.
7. (My favourite) Does she have an "off switch"?
A: Yes she does. It is called Obedience. Since you have been involved in the sport for __years, you might have heard of this.
It goes on and on...

| I don’t know if it is the ‘weirdest’ one, but sure memorable… I had a one-on-one conversation with the potential buyer. He waved cash in front of me and said: “I am looking for a very nasty GSD. It will be the guard dog, so the nastier the dog the better. It will be chained up outside so I don’t mind feeding him with the stick.” Nasty 10 week old pups?  As you may imagine he went back home empty handed… |

The sad thing is he probably found some dopehead who breeds badassed pit bulls to sell him something he could chain to a tree and ignore! Ranger's former owner was this kind of yahoo. He believe a guard dog should try to eat everone, and that you shouldn't play with it, or let others touch it, as it might somehow become 'nice' to people! As a result, Ranger played with the rocks he dug out of the ground around his kennel. His teeth are very, very worn because of this. And at 9 years old, he STILL loves to dig up rocks and carry them around! |
