Try contacting the WDA and AKC's pet return program. |

| Thanks, will try WDA in the AM. Never heard of the AKC pet recovery, this isn't just for microchips? Thanks for the help. Kristin |

| What a stunning dog! Was he turned in as a stray? I work with our local shelter and we've had several dogs coming in with tattoos and never were able to find the owner's/breeders. Seems like some breeders do their own tattoos but that really doesn't help unless they are registered some where! Hoping this dog finds him owners. Amy |

| Still nothing. I can't believe no one recognizes the tattoo system from such a quality looking dog. |
by crhuerta on 31 March 2011 - 19:56 |
| Are you sure that the tattoo is correct? Even breeders (like myself) have a "system" for our tattoos. *we use a sequence of 7 digits). Perhaps check the tattoo again...to make sure the correct letters and numbers are given. |

| Kristin, any news regarding this beautiful boy? |
by Nevada GSD on 04 April 2011 - 03:18 |
| How sad this beautiful boy hasn't been claimed. How do people allow these dogs to just disappear? |
by Prager on 04 April 2011 - 10:38 |
| Disappear?! No they dump them at a pound, abandon them in the house they lost to foreclosure, drop them in the desert. Some, many, most people are bastards. Prager Hans. |

| In our area, LEO picked up a gorgeous, clean, and in-working-condition male Belgian Malinois. They scanned him for chips - nothing. Checked for tattoo - nothing. They contacted all local Veterinarians, shelters, and rescues - nothing. Because his owner never came to identify him, they ended up taking possession of him. |

| in forclosure areas you will find lots of cats and dogs that were left behind when we bought our house we found 1 huge german shepherd and like 4 cats on our property over a span of a couple of weeks all starving :( |

| Is he up for adoption now?? Hoping this boy finds a great forever home. Amy |
by mygsdsni on 05 April 2011 - 02:15 |
| He is still at the shelter. No one called to claim him. He is available for adoption starting tomorrow, no applications in on him yet. The shelter has a mandatory spay/neuter prior to adoption. Kristin |
