NIce to hear of a stud dog as popular as Ufo, living that long - very good.   A good long healthy life.

So sorry for your loss.  14.5 is a good run, but I know any age is too soon.

So sorry for your loss.  The more time we have with them the more grief with their passing.  Beautiful dog, just a perfect example of GSD.

Rest in Peace, Ufo...

I'm impressed at how long he lived - pretty good for a larger dog. (and we shared a birthday!)

Ufo had a sister pass away one month short of 14 and a full brother lived until 13. Health and longevity run in this line. My Ufo daughter Zulma is going strong and will be 11 on the 20th of this month.

Condolences to the owner, and echo the comments regarding this dog's lifespan, especially with the added reports that siblings of Ufo, and their progeny, also enjoyed/are enjoying long lives.

Longevity is a trait that has become scarcer within the breed, regardless of what 'variety' (United States show lines, United States obedience lines, European show lines, European working lines). Too many dogs gone before they see ten years...

He was beautiful and it's always nice to see a dog make it to this age.

Group of 4 UFO Grandkids, and Xito Maineche Daughter (Xito also lived to be 13+)  3 were Kkl 1 under Judge
Scheld, all were SG  in their class.  Very strong working temperaments and beauty, Longevity to boot.
