I need clarification. I think I am understanding it right but I rather ask than look like a "dug out mouse"... Slovakian saying ignore it if it doesnt make sence.

IPO FH is basically FH2 right? it has 8 legs and 7 corners 7 articles which one serves as an Identification article ( I still need to figure out what needs to be done with this and teach it to my dog). The only difference is that it needs to be done twice in two days..right?
The cross track is 45 minutes before the start.
180 minutes old.
I assume the same problem solving as FH2? ( I could not find plans fot this)
Road, change of surface.
Next day the same thing, yet new track layer.
Both of the tracks must be worked  and obtain passing score for recieving the title.. I think

Confused here
thank you

Yes the IPOFH  is two FH2 tracks on consecutive days, different track layer for each, could be on totally different type of Vegatation. You have to score passing on both tracks to pass the IPOFH.

Maybe Bullet will speak up here and say more.

No need to take anyone's word for it, rules are rules.  See page 44.

KYLE, thank you I have read the rules .

That is why i needed a clarification. I like an input from people who experienced such tracking or have first hand knowlege about it (wittnesing it or something)

I just needed a clarification... since I could not find the IPOFH track plans. I also need somebody to tell me exactly the expectations on the identification article.

Thanks mewoodjr..

Those DVG Rules concerning the IPO-FH are out of date as of a year or so ago.

One thing that is not in the new rules is that the dog basically had to find the track.. so it started with basically an article search then the dog would track from there the new rules  the dog starts from a flag.

The tracks that I saw were basically the largest schutzhund tracks I'd had ever seen. You do have a change of terrain.. also you have an accute corner (narrow angle) which can be difficult especially in the wind also you have a large arc in the track as well

The ones That I saw in france I had a camera with a 600mm lens and it was not enough to get good pictures of the far end of it

Hope this helps

KYLE
Thank you fro the updated version.
I pretty much totally paniced when I read the article start since I have never seen it. I made an elephant out of it and gave up before I even started.. panic...LOL then I got laughet at since it is not even an issue!

Habanaro, yes, these tracks are crazy long. The last time I did an FH2 track it took me almost an hour to get the track ready, after I pulled the dog, I found out it takes him about 40 minutes to work the track (about 2200 paces)

The happy short tracks 900 paces or so take him about 20 minutes. Amazing how the dog's nose works!
