You have my deepest sympathy. Just lost our 3 yr old boy last Friday and am suffering with you. You do marvellous work and should be proud.

We love them and it hurts so much  when they die, because they are innocent and we are not.

You scared me to death with RIP poor Brooke...I immediately thought of your own girl...not that it mattered as they are all the same to you but I have met the other Brooke and was concerned. 

This poor sweet girl...these were the same people who insisted they loved her?  Dirtbags!  She'll remember YOU when you come to the rainbow bridge.  I don't doubt she'll forgive the others depite the crummy life they gave her and she will greet them with wagging tail...but the minute you show up she will kick them to the curb to come running to YOU!  Do you have any idea how many four legged friends will be there to greet you?  Think about it...every dog that you had to hold in your arms and usher out of this world, every dog that spent time at your place waiting for someone who would take him/her in, every dog that ever felt your loving hands on them...wow!  It boggles the mind.  It's gonna be one helluva party at the bridge when you decide to give up the ghost!  You are my hero, kiddo.  You do what I cannot.  I admire you and am honored to be one human you seem to think is ok.  Thank you for Brooke and all the others you work so hard to save & place or if needed a final place full of love to live out a shortened life.  There is a special place in heaven for you.

Steph, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss.  You are a true guardian angel.  Brooke was very blessed to have you give him warmth, comfort, love, and a soft place to lay down.  You made a difference in Brooke's life.  How extraordinary you are.  I know Brooke loved you during the short time you spent together.  You are a  gift from God, and so was Brooke.  It is a shame and cruel that this special baby was abandoned like this.
