My dog had a smallish cyst removed from her back nearly four weeks ago.
The shaved patch is approx. 4.5" x 3.5".
How long will it take to grow back, all she has after nearly 4 weeks is stubble?
Could she be entered into a show or wait until it's grown back?

I would say it will take another month, and yes you can show her, the judge will probably ask about what happened though.

Why bothere to show her until she is at her best.  Depends also where the cyst is, as to whether it spoils her overline on the move, then she will be at a disadvantage even though the judge may know what it is, as he is judging the dog on the day.   Nelsons Graphites Cream rubbed in daily will loosne up the lop layer of skin, help with healing and allow the hair follicles to protrude through quicker.  I use it for any little scrapes that the dogs have, with great results.on healing and hair growth.   Mo.

It will take a while... the stubble that is actually cut hair has to shed out for new full length hair to come in.  The stubble that is new hair will fill in... eventually.  Remember GSD hair only grows to a certain length, stays awhile, dies and then a new hair comes in.  My poor girl had a bald belly for a couple months after she was spayed at the end December.  She is now back to her nice show coat... alas her show career is over.

Bought the cream you suggested, have been using for the past couple of days.
Thanks for the recommendation.

That is the reaon that I Never let any vet clip up my dog for a blood test. They alway ask though. Any vet that cannot find a leg vein on a GSD shouldn't be allowed to practice. JMHO

Yes the hair does take possibly a couple of months to re grow.
