Woohoo! Ally did good! by VomMarischal on 07 June 2010 - 01:53 |
Ally and I trialed yesterday for her PDC and failed, mainly because I don't know the rules and was a crappy handler. Then the club had another trial today and she passed! Woohoo! Damn dog is too rough for me. She's 90 lbs, and she and I have some control issues. For example, she BARELY outed...and she re-bit because I was so lame...but she had enough points and passed!

Excellent. Congratulations. Just imagine the puppies that Ally and Pharaoh could produce. Great big domineering, mooses. But very good looking. I think I can train Pharaoh for a BH after he is three. Michele

Congrats for being positive and not getting down for failing the day before Think positive regards who is tougher the Dog or you, Make her understand from now on you will not stand any nonsense from her, If she does wrong a firm correction that she reponds too, and reward when she does good, You will win the day if you keep it up NEVER let her get away with anything Steve1

Congratulations... Build on the possitive. My dogs an I are like a comedy team where I get to be the "straight guy" and they are the ones who have all the skill. I see my job as that of setting them up to deliver the "punch-line"... |

You got the job done and you showed that you can "take it" in stride and come back to be successful the very next day. That is amazing. It's like when you are out on the trail and the perfect horse you are riding lets you know that she must ALWAYS be first and WILL NOT be second in line by bucking you off over her head on a steep trail. Prayers of thanks for not going down the sheer drop, not being trampled and popping upright with reigns in hand. Time to dust off the seat of your pants and get back up and let her know that today's the day she WILL be second in line. You inspire me. Michele

Congrats Jackie. I was bitting my nails for everybody and willing dogs to behave. It was a tough weekend. I guess we both need to work on some outs. The laughing was in the OB I think. That old lady of yours was bouncing all over the place but at least she stayed with you. Crazy ass bitch! =P

Thanks, Michele! It helps that this group is fun to train with. Seems like everybody pitches in and nobody has ulterior motives. I have to say that seems rare nowadays. Yes, 4Pack, she is a seriously crazy old bitch! She just flat wears me out! I have no idea why she bounces, but my one puppy, Leapin' Lizzy, is exactly like her, so I'm in for another 12 years of trouble! Good to see you again, Cee!

It's great to see a dog her age full of piss and vinager. I couldn't get that much enthusiasm out of Baden if I tried. Ally is one of those dogs that makes ya smile. Kind of an ugly, rough looking old gal, but when she lights up on the field, she is def more than your expecting. Just a fun dog to watch.

Thanks, buddies! I think Max von Stephanitz would have said she is the prettiest dog in town just because she is all about the work! God I love this dog....
