German Shepherd Dog > KC Meeting with GSD club representatives -(fact not fiction) (134 replies)

| Well I don't really know why you all bothered to reply. The KC are up for scrutiny, so are the GSDL/WUSV - since these can be the only 2 influences on the future of the breed. I don't see why, when the new GSDL/WUSV group is claiming betterment of the breed, why it shouldn't expect to be held up to scrutiny against those claims. Pacosbear - KC - they may be lambasted, they may be wrong but they are huge, and, whether anyone likes it or not, they are the official recognising and registration body for dogs in the UK. That's why the public - in the main - will go with the KC. The people who read dog magazines and are really interested in what is going on are in the minority. It isn't because the KC are any good, or that the new group isn't any good, it's a matter of human nature and numbers. Bazza - No it isn't praise - it's a matter of fact. as I explain above. I have nothing against showing, just how the showline and any other show breed is directing and IMO exaggerating the shape of the dogs. Videx - Airing that high IQ again. Gosh don't I wish I was that smart and could think of something as witty to say. BTW isn't it poor form to use smutty language on a forum? I think you should at least insert some asterisks. |

| Dingo: You write like an acutely frustrated wannabe academic. I guess you are ignored by most of your work colleagues and justifiably ridiculed, probably behind your back because they are sick of your pompous and self righteous 'ignorant' opinions. Get off your high horse, you are very clearly very ignorant about the GSD Show scene - and you are a very nauseating person. |
by Dingodog on 08 May 2010 - 22:18 |
| Videx - you guess a lot of things, but you're ALWAYS wrong LOL. Your opinion of me, your name calling and your wild speculations, whilst amusing, matter not even one iota to me, you see I don't care. I have always tried to keep whatever I say impersonal, as I really don't feel the need to throw insults around. I've always found that it does say so much about a person that does though. |

| 'Any dogs presented for a survey if born on or after 1/1/2010 will require an elbow score which can be 0-1-2, this allows the three grades to be used to obtain a Class One should all the other criteria required for a Class 1 be obtained as before'. So a grade 2 elbow score can get a class 1, whereas oversize gets a class 1 or 2 minus. Is oversize more important than health issues? i.e. elbow dysplasia Please tell me this is not the case, Member. |

| Dingo: You are obviously in denial about yourself, and always will be. I can't really blame you. |

| This is a PM I received earlier, NO DOUBT he has also been reading this thread. HE being a top GSD breeder/exhibitor from Europe. "Mate...how you guys put up with some of these half-wits at pedigree database; I just dont know!! Just reading their crap makes me want to throw the screen out the window and you guys also have them around you!! You need some kind of a medal son, for having to put up with the KC,silk-tie,hush-puppy-shoe wearing, handlers and breeders who know f'all about the breed...the worst part is that they don't want to know/learn and try to state a case!! Anyway keep well." This just about says it all. |

| Mark3, Oversize is not more imortant than Health issues , this is the very reason that there is an opportunity to continue to show a larger dog ( with a limit) at the shows based on the WUSV system which has gained a survey pass, albeit a recognition that size is a factor in the grading result. With regards to Hips and Elbows, as in other countries their grades determin a pass or failure in their grading requirements and do not determin a reduced survey grade. Here in the UK we used to allow a Survey Class 2 for hips which scored higher than required for a Class 1 which we changed as a result of trying to improve the value of the survey`s. John Ward |

Videx - Still in playground mode then 'going off to get your bigger 'bestest' friend' to come and help you' LOL Never seen you that desperate before. If your 'friend' can pm you then he could support you or offer his own opinion on the board, but he obviously doesn't. That says it all. |
by missbeeb on 09 May 2010 - 09:36 |
Dingo... still baiting then!
Got no bigger or bestest friends? LOL, you're hilarious, you really DO spread a little joy... bless! |
by Videx on 09 May 2010 - 09:39 |
| Help against you Dingodog, that qualifies for the worst joke of the year. You are certainly pathetic, as well as being an interfering busybody of no substance, no knowledge and no experience. That sums you up perfectly. |

| Arbeiter I mean the short (body proportions) , hyper , overangulated exagerrated types being promoted in the UK . Now granted not all are like this but Dinodog raises alot of valid points only to be abused because he has questioned the so called "no it all bigwigs" who want to have theire cake & eat it . When something that they do not like appears, the abuse begins. David Sometimes your very right & I find it hard to argue against your points but other times your so very wrong . I personally dont know too many europeans who use the phrases "son " & "mate" . Let the abuse begin LOL Misbeeb Get your nose out of Davids backside . |
by missbeeb on 09 May 2010 - 12:11 |
LOL... never been there! |
by NO FEAR on 09 May 2010 - 12:19 |
| LOL Misbeep ! At least you have a sense of humour |
by Dingodog on 09 May 2010 - 12:24 |
| Missbeeb Hardly baiting, just responding to Videx's friendly banter LOL. Got loads of bigger and bestest friends thanks, I just don't need to paste their comments here to try and 'help me out'. NoFear - David's 'backside' might be a very good place to spend your time if you may be under him as a judge though!. Because I will never be showing I don't have to worry about that. Probably one of the things that peeves him so much. Good point about the phrasing NoFear. Now children, time to stop messing about, I see some people on here are actually trying to have a sensible debate about elbows. Let's not spoil it. The changes within the GSD world just now are profound. The popularity of the breed is in decline, more than likely because the public do not like the dogs they are seeing in the show ring, and the health problems that sadly beset the breed. As someone once said 'interesting times'. |
by missbeeb on 09 May 2010 - 12:39 |
Dingo, I don't know the last time David judged, but nobody would be using that as a reason... you really don't know much!
![]() Why would one wish to debate "elbows" (or anything else about our breed) with you? You have nothing to offer and you clearly think you have nothing to learn! Too many have rumbled you now Dingo... you have your own "agenda" and as you've said previously, it's all a bit of fun for you... how you get your jollies. ![]() |

| No fear: your ignorance is patently obvious, many Europeans enjoy using English terminology that appeals to them. On the subject of GSD - throughout the GSD history in the UK, novices were just that. I was a novice for many years, slowly learning and developing my knowledge and experience. Many of my original assumptions were either wrong or born out of ignorance and assumption. It is well to remember that assumption is the root cause of many cock ups. Today with the Internet and forums like this one, many novices come on here, usually anonymous, and set about telling the world how right they are and how wrong everyone else is. The problem for them is their novice position in respect of GSD is all too obvious to the knowledgeable and experienced. However the The knowledgeable and experienced try and answer their mainly pathetic and ignorant assertions and comments, as well as their naive questions, with a view to try and educate them and other novice readers. The problem become irritating when an obvious novice has an agenda or suffers from selective memory syndrome or is simply thick. Believe me this also becomes very obvious also. I suffer fools very badly, and I make no apologies for it, I have no personal ambitions in our breed and I place no importance whatsoever in being liked or respected by a silly pillock. It always amazes me when they think I should be concerned in any way with their opinion on any matter relating to my obvious contempt for them, they should accept that they live in a fog of ignorance and they are low achievers and get on with their pathetic lives and be content with their shuffling around silently and being ignored. Which is exactly how they behave at our GSD shows and events, that is if they are even present. I owe nothing more to the Joe Public that to do my very best to promote and improve our GSD breed in a very careful and very considered way, and to have a genuine priority for its health and welfare, whilst also making efforts to ensure that unfair and unreasonable, as well as misleading practices, especially when they emanate from the Kennel Club, but also from so called leading GSD organisations, are brought to their attention. I will work with anyone else or any organisation that has similar goals. I have no obligation to any individual who clearly illustrates any form of antagonism towards any well thought out progressive plans, programmes or initiatives, which I consider important to our GSD breed and their future, especially when it comes from anonymous and/or cowardly and those demonstrably ignorant of the very many aspects of our breed, both here in Britain and worldwide. |

| Dingo is a "troll" although she tries and fails to be a little more sophisticated. She baits and insults and puts her obvious ignorance up on a pedestal. She typifies the "middle of the road" GSD clique, who continuously make futile attempts to make something special out of obvious mediocrity. Laughable, and certainly pathetic, but nothing can and nothing will divert them from their impossible pursuit. They spout and shout, they write and ridicule, they are simply an obvious and pathetic "mutual admiration society" for their mediocre specimens. They should crawl away and keep out of the public eye, there is no future for them outside of their very own very small and insignificant circle. It may be they feel threatened by being left as part of a much smaller GSD/Alsatian group within the Kennel Club show scene, and the public becoming increasingly aware of the "correct International GSD" which genuinely prioritises the Health & Welfare of the GSD and has equally genuine and meaningful entry requirements for their GSD Events. Those of us who have interest in the "correct International type of GSD", that which is promoted by the founding organisation of the GSD breed, have far greater things to do and we are getting on with them. |

| Missbeeb The debate on elbows did not involve me. I was trying to make way for other posters who clearly had something sensible and more important under discussion. Perhaps you and Videx could offer them the same courtesy? |
by missbeeb on 09 May 2010 - 13:07 |
.....mmmm, stop baiting Dingo, it's gettin' old. |
by Sue B on 09 May 2010 - 14:48 |
Dingodog ,you profess to only be interested in Agility and Obedience (obviously a BAGSD's member) and not in the show scene and have spent much effort trying to convince us of that. On many occasions in the past Missbeeb has invited you to attend one of our 'WUSV' type shows, where only Health checked dogs are on parade, sadly you declined, which is fine and understandable IF, as you have so often told us, that type of show dont float your boat. However, in your last post on the previous page (P3) of this thread in reply to No Fear (I think) you said and I quote:- " I agree with you the Double Handling is just hilarious. I actually think it would be a shame to see it go, it is far more entertaining than watching the dogs in the ring." O dear!! Naughty naughty Dingodog, this sentance proves you havent been very honest with us on this have you? And if you havent been honest on this, how many more porkies have you told here? Sounds to me like we have been providing added weekend entertainment to you on your little jaunts for a while eh !! So where and how often have you viewed these so called hillarious Double Handling episodes you speak of Dingo? As for you finding them more entertaining than watching the dogs, perhaps you should find yourself another hobby, since you obviously get more enjoyment out of watching and conversing with people, than you do with dogs and now you have just admitted it here. Oh, yes and something else I have been wondering about you, since you do not breed, where do you go when you need your next, new Agility / Obedience GSD? Regards Sue b |

Got no bigger or bestest friends? LOL, you're hilarious, you really DO spread a little joy... bless!
