| Hi, I've been using a barrier to keep my GSD's in the back cargo area of my Trail Blazer. I want to get crates instead for the summer, so I can keep the cargo door open. Having trouble finding a crates (2) that will fit in the cargo area next to each other. I use to see crates sold that were more narrow for use in cars / SUV's. Anyone know where I can find crates like that? Both my female GSD's are about 65lbs working weight, so don't need a exlarge crate. Or any other suggestions? Thanks, Carol |

| I used 2 Large Kalispel slant front crates in my suv. Good price, tough, and durable. They are 22 inches wide each by 36 inches deep. They are about the thinest crates except custom or plastic |

Midwest sells "SUV crates" that fit side by side. They are 36" or 42" long like normal but I think only 21" wide instead of 24"+ |

| The best crates, custom made to your specs, come from KustomKrates in Texas. They are aluminum and solid and will last many lifetimes. Mark is great to work with and will even figure out what the dimensions should be, if you give him make and model. They are not cheap, but your dog will never escape and you can leave the vehicle open to keep the dog cool at training. |

I'd love to know about the Kalispel crates, too!  I have a friend who bought a used slant-front aluminum crate from a hunter. The thing was so light, it was no problem for even a small person to carry upstairs. I'd love to get a couple for my dogs, if at all possible. |

petedge.com is the cheapest I've found for midwest crates, other than ebay sometimes. I just adopted a third dog and have been looking at those myself. Heather |

| Nia, Kalispel pro shop: kalispelproshop.com/accessories/Aluminum-Slant-Front-Dog-Crates.asp They were even nice enough to one left side hinge and one right side hinge door so that I could have both open without swinging into the other. I had a Mercedes ML350 that they fit into. I just had to have the airline rail removed to make them a flush fit. |

| We have 2 Kalispel medium slant front crates that we inherited from my husbands grandfather. He used them for his field trial/hunting dogs and they are probably 40 years old or so and still in great shape. We had them in my Mazda 5 and the best part was that you could still see over the top of them, the rearview mirror wasn't obstructed. Very very light and easy to clean, great crates. |

| I have a trailblazer as well, but haven't been able to find two crates that would fit side by side in the back. I'll have to check out kustom krates (thanks for the heads up) I have been able to get two good sized crates in the blazer with the back seats down, just not side by side and not without the seats down:)) When I haul one dog, I have one with a side door that can be fit sideways (back seats up) but alas, my gsd has rather outgrown that one:)) thanks for asking this question, I'll be checking out kustom krates |

| I don't know how well they will fit a trailblazer. But I use #500 crates of various brands for my Yukon - I can put 2 side by side. But its a tight fit. |
