Hi, the spot where the vet gave my puppy scabed up and now has a bald spo t. I'm pretty livid as I was planning on showing him. The spot is the size of A nickel, how much will this effect his chances? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the hair will grow back, give it time.  What did the vet do to the puppy?

this sounds like a reaction to the vaccine,
not the vet's fault.

Thanks for the responses.  Yeah, I know its the vaccine and not the vet's fault but still pretty upset.  Does anyone share the same experience and will the hair grow back?  Thanks.

Once the vet gave a Siamese cat of mine a penicillin shot and she almost died. I rushed her back and he gave her another shot just in time. It was terrifying. This is a cat that I had taught to do tricks, heel, sit, stay, down, roll over, and to use the potty.....she was the apple of my eye..... she was almost "dog like"

A huge patch of fur fell off about the size of a Kennedy half dollar........the area was completely bald for almost a year and on the second shed it grew back but is was much darker then the rest of the hair in the area. Eventually the hair blended in a bit better, but I could always tell the outline.
