Don't worry, the night that you relax, & fall into a deep sleep, that's when she'll have them!  You'll be having dreams that there are little puppies running all over the place, & wake up to a whelping box full of pups! Good luck! jackie harris

Yeah I'm seeing Jenny Craig in her future...either that or those puppies are going to be ready for their damn Bh when they come out of there.

You think YOU are hurting?????

All I can say is, she has no fever, she is cheerful and energetic, and her appetite is good, so  I have no reason to suspect that anything bad is going on in there. You know how they say....58 to 67 days? Well....I guess it's going to be 67. I saw a little more of that mucous today, but her temp is still 100.3 and she was crazy to have her breakfast.

In the meantime, I'm working on pneumonia and an ulcer from the stress!

Oh Marishal,
I feel for you. When my girl went to 67 days more than 5 years ago, I was going crazy. Called the vet every day, went for ultrasounds etc. When mine finally had her puppies, there were two lively ones and one stillborn (and he was huge and very long).
As long as there is no fetal distress and mom is fine, everything should be ok.
Today is the day I bet!!!

It sounds like she is OK from her behaviour etc. - but didn't you say her temperature dropped a few days ago?

Oso, it dropped I THINK. It never went below EXACTLY 100, and her normal is 100.5; what if I just didn't leave it in long enough? She does wiggle.

Bazza, I'm kind of funny in a pathetic way, aren't I? My temp is 102 right now. Luckily I have a good next door neighbor who can help me with all this if I need her.

Uh oh if YOUR temp is up then it's definitely gonna happen soon!  When Carmen started whelping on Sunday I had a fever and stomach problems the entire day / night she was delivering.  While I was ready to write it off as stress related, my wife insists that the dam was projecting onto me like ET...

Carmen also ate about 3 hours before her water broke, so I don't put too much stock in the whole not eating thing for a day before.

Seriously, hang in there, she sounds like she's doing just fine. Get some sleep while you still can, because soon the sleepless anticipation of "when are they coming" becomes the sleepless anticipation of "are they doing OK?"

Your puppies will be doing a long down by the time mine come around! Hey somebody smarter than I is going to re-calculate the dates...numbers are not really my thing...I should never have listened to the calculations of the stud owner, I should have tried to work it out myself! Oh yeah right.

Thanks!

YES! I know that the date was estimated incorrectly, given the info I had about her breedings (you know, the progesterone numbers, stuff like that)! It is POSSIBLE that she MAY even wait until this coming weekend.

But no, no puppies.

With a belly that size, surely she can't hold out much longer!

Princess slept on the bed with me last night. AAAWWW!

Check this out. I made a joke the other day that I had kicked the living crap out of her and fed her rotten eggs for her dinner. I thought it was SOOO obviously lame that nobody would believe it....well, someone did. Sigh. If only they knew just how spoiled these dogs are. They deserve it. They bite like hell.
