Look of Eagles: Continued by EuroShepherd on 07 March 2010 - 01:49 |
Wanted to post a pic of this boy with his light eyes, nearly the color of eagle eyes. Do you think these would qualify as "Look of the Eagles"? Yes, he's a liver/red. Produced from a litter last year, he is 7 months old in these pics. (and available to a good pet home) I won't be repeating the same breeding but I do think this boy looks quite unique. ![]()

Euro.....do you have any ideas....where the "liver gene" might have come from in the genetics? I haven't seen too many of them in person....especially through the German Bloodlines...just a few here & there. Was he the only one? Just curious, cause my first hand knowledge of them is null....... Striking dog...hope he finds a great home. Robin

Your boy has a serious look of overconfidence and "don't mess with me". Doesn't look like he would back down too easily from any confrontation with an aggressor or agitator. Yes, he has the look of eagles. But a GSD can have this expression in the eyes with a dark eye or any color in between that and light, a light eye color isn't necessary. And the dark eye is preferred of course. But it is the look of confidence and determination that counts and makes the GSD's temperament ideal. This GSD has it. He should make a very good 24/7 in home protector and special family pet.

Preston, I get a kick out of you sometimes, with the "Look of Eagles", the feral/non-feral "Gangster Dogs", and whatnot. Since this one's a female, I'll have to play on her duplicitous nature; with the "Look of Eagles" followed by the "Look of Angels". ![]() ![]()
