While looking at threads, we see a lot of pictures at the top of the page advertising different animals, products and services. How many of you, like me, can't resist peeking at an ad or two or three? What makes you "peek"? What types of things do you look for in an advertisement when shopping?

For me, the picture comes first.  Once I've opened the ad, it's the amount of information provided. Here's an example........
Every time I see this puppy's advertisement I think what a beautiful girl: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/classifieds/153765.html

I've probably looked at her a dozen times, watched all of the videos and looked at her parents pedigree's. Even though I'm not currently in the market for another GSD, her ad makes me wish I was in the market.

IMO......This breeder does a nice job of giving the potential buyer just enough information to make the decision whether/or not to contact them for further information. In addition, the video's and pictures of their dogs all show healthy happy animals, which is also very important.

I keep hoping someone will finally buy those "bargain" pups I see, laying around on the dusty ground somewhere in AZ. The black one, and the sable one? They look so cute and affable. But I worry that each day, they just keep getting bigger, and cheaper.  At what point will they be given away, I wonder?

Bee, aww, you do have a soft spot for dogs, don't you. :) at least if those pups are given away they will get out of the situation they're presently in. Wether selling or free, sometimes you never know a hundred percent how a pup will fair.

Thanks joanro, nice hearing it from you, too. Sometimes I find it necessary to wear a different hat, depending on what the day serves up.

I also like the running puppy shots. Lots of long hairs lately, and they do make for some great shots when done right, with the ears all tufty and floppy.

Bee,
AZ is my neighbor, I know the area (and the ad) well..........I hope those babies find loving homes.

On a positive note....It takes a strong will to resist puppy pictures, especially the coaties......who can resist a cute fur ball ??

PS......Is it hot tub season yet? I have a lovely new Chardonnay I'd like to share :)

Beetree I know exactly the ad you are talking about. I think i probably click on most of the ads just to see the dogs and pedigrees and educate myself about different lines. Even stud and adult pictures. I am just a sucker though. :D
