I wouldn't do it if it were me.  WAY too many things can go wrong where YOU get the "shaft".

What happens if the bitch delivers 10 puppies and then dies?  I imagine that YOU get to hand raise the litter.  What happens if all of your costs assiciated with this "deal" end up being several thousand dollars?  Do you have experience whelping and raising a litter? 

To me it sounds like the breeder would be getting a HELL of a deal and you wouldn't.

If you want a puppy, why not just BUY a puppy in the first place?  At least that way you KNOW you will get a pup.  WIth the co-ownership you MIGHT get a pup.  Or you MIGHT end up with nothing except an empty wallet.
