Just because a dog has the Tiekerhook kennel name DOES NOT mean it will bite for real:-)

I just looked at some pedigrees of staatsmacht dogs , and I think staatsmacht will hang on to the quality they started out with longer than the other one mentioned did
smarter breedingchoices IMO
some breeders may say a big thank you to schiffslache for foundation material

orla/connie  tyson/connie

now its up to them to preserve it

I'm leaving tonight to go and breed to Terror Von Der Staatsmacht. Stefan consistently produces very good dogs. And, I too agree that the mother lines are extremely important. I have to say that I am really looking forward to meeting Stefan and his dogs!
This is the breeding of Terror and Jet.

don't want to argue over A vs B kennels, sure both are high quality. Both also seem to produce serious dogs, which is what caught my attention initially however I am more familiar with tiekerhook and therefore wanted to ask if it is fair to say they are comparable in that aspect.

I think most savy breeders realize that the motherline is the key to working dogs.....but you would be surprised at how many people think that the stud is more important in producing working dogs.

I have personally never met either stefan or christine but talked with christine on the phone while I was looking for a puppy. SAhe was extremely up fron and honest which if you are in the dog worl long enough know is a rarity!! I have a 5 month old male pup out of terror and juma von der staatsmacht and all I can say is WOW!! It takes a lot for me to really like what I see in a puppy and am extremely picky. He is naturally an extremely hard, high drive, civil puppy! I emphasize naturally because I do a little bit of tug here and there and imprint behaviors but for the most part I let my pups grow up a bit and explore the world. Now I'm not saying any of this because I own him and would be completely honest with any negatives but this pup is rock solid in any environment I put him in, no matter what he's standing on, or what is going on around him. Have had him go through tarps, swimming, fire escape stairs in nyc, aluminum bleachers, gun range...doesn't matter whatever situation he is in he is rock solid! His drives are very high but well balanced between prey and aggression. He naturally focuses on the person and not so much on prey item and will bite whoever goes to take his prey (ball, tug, etc..) away from him. The other day I did a little work with him and a helper, the helper was waiving around the blanket and the pup went through the blanket, didn't think of biting it as a prey item at all and launched onto bicep of helper. Yes the helper put a little more pressure on pup than normal but he came out unphased and helper had punctured arm. Only drawback to my pup is he is very independent and has a mind of his own. But I do want to say amazing breeding program to stefan and dogs are unbelievable. I also think I speak for a lot of people who can't make it out there to see terror but we would love to see video of him!

Terrror movie is in short time online.

I have start with Orla and have get a lot of good females out of her, have breed with a few of them, have pay my lessons with wrong decissions, but have never lost my eye for the rightl dog.  i can not understand or better belive that other breeder have ten great females for their breeding program.it is hard enough to get two or three togehter. keep focus on the right ones and make the breed better and do not swamp the market with sh..!

i breed now since ten years and i am pretty sure that every new generation have make my breed better.

AMEN!! I agree completely, though I admit, sometimes when you get a really great female, it's hard to find another that measures up and your standards are very high now. If you started out with a female who wasn't the best and then learned as you went along, I can see how people end up with more than a couple, but I firmly believe just a couple really, truly good ones is all you need.

As an aside, Staatmacht, I PM'd you. Check your private messages please.
