There is a chemical put out by a laboratory in USa that is called    Skunk Off....it can be ordered ...call the Canine officer of your local health department and get the name of the company or gt them to order you a can of it.......also after treating for several times     the second bath  use  three large cans      quart size of cheapest tomatoe juice you can buy......three or four quarts and soak the boy or girl down     .....do not rinse off......after several hours rinse with warm water...his face is probably what got it the worse...my Bear got into a fight with a female skunk  she was fierce and she must have had babies somewhere close in my acreage....she ran off when i came out the door with the shotgun...I put him in a quick kennel out front till morning as this was 2 am in the morning he had the dance with the lady skunk......I threw away his bandana and it took 5 weeks to get the smell off his face......be sure to clean out ears with ear clean and put some murine in dogs eyes unless you have eye clear from the dog companies.....

Good luck and do not let him in your house...for 4 weeks....you will never get the smell out   put him in sun and make sure he stays in a very well ventilated area.....

Honey   german  shepherds have one of the best eyesights of any canine on earth...its not their eyesight that failed...it is the hunt of the prey....a german shepherd uses   5 senses very well.....sight ,,,smell,,, sound ,,touch and taste..

Percentage of use is   sight  50%    touch is 10%  taste is 20%   ears is 70% and the nose is   100%.

Your german shepherd smells that skunk the minute he come within 10 blocks of your place....
