I would like some advise please! I'm looking to buy a maybe 4/5 month male German shepherd from a reputable breeder in Europe. I live in the UK and I believe the shipping is less traumatic for the dogs on shorter flights. More importantly my criteria is as follows; must be from West German show lines must have a good prey drive , good red and black pigmentation. i would like to compete with him and take him through all the shutzhund gradings,he must be off solid mind with lovely temperament - both testicles must have descended and come from healthy parents. Would prefer pink papers and would prefer a substantial build physic. Mostly would like a breeder that is not going to con me and be honest with me! I also realise that breeders won't necessary sell their best youngsters but hoping there is a few that I can correspond with . All your help will really be appreciated, please provide any contacts that you personally dealt with.

Regards Chris

I agree with SitasMom, you've posted this same thing several times. I understand you're trying to get an answer but spaming the board isn't the way to get any productive answers.

If you want to do Schutzhund can I ask why you want a showline? I'm not saying they can't do it but working lines seem more suited to your requirements. Matt at WKD-UK is a fan of German lines and his dogs are very impressive. I'm just about to purchase a bitch puppy from him to go with my male that is sired by another of his impressive males, Sujay's Striker of Wickedyoukay.
The added benefit of using him is he's based in Staffs but there are plenty of other working line breeders in the UK so you can deal face to face and not take the risks involved with importing from Europe.

Thanks for the help and advise everyone, I really appreciate it. I think my problem is I love the show lines but equally want them to perform as the working lines do :) Once again thanks for the advise, I think I've got some homework To do regarding whats needed before spending thousands of pounds ... Cheers all
