Tapes are NOT transmitted from animal to animal, unless the dog ate a flea that jumped off another dog..... they either come from fleas or eating flesh infested with it (rabbit, etc) which is probably not likely

Also, I'm confused by Frontlining every other dog in the house.. how does one decide which is every other one.. i would say treat every dog with Frontline and try to stretch it out.. it is possible to get up to 3 months flea protection per application, as long as there isn't a heavy infestation.... you must have them somewhere though

There are topical products specifically for cats as well
