| I think Tiny Tim Tebow will get that football toy and WILL learn to throw it and then run and catch it too. A #15 Jersey is on order also... I sew and will modify it to fit him. Little Tebow watched the game with me and hubby and when we cheered, he barked and ran around the room, then back on my lap to watch for the next play. He's a true fan! We had snacks and he had chicken heart pieces, raw and gooey.. just like he likes them! What a fun dog. |

| I'm not sure if the football game got him going, but I am sure of one thing. His new supplement regimen is definately showing changes. I spoke with Tig and she gave me some recommendations and I am (one week later) seeing some new energy and pep. For a dwarf this is really extra important but I started my GSDX on the same things today. Hang on to your hat. We'll see how this goes. |

| Thanks Steph for this little guy.. such a heart throb. The disco like move he makes is diminishing... but I have a friend who takes her boxer to accupuncture and I'm going to tag along with her next trip to talk to them to check them out. I'm leary of course, but my friend has used them for a very long time and is convinced. We'll see. In any case, the movements are not really stretching, it is like a disco move - to his right foot then looks up, then back to the right foot, then back up... maybe John Travolta got ahold of this dog ... well.. we must keep our sense of humor. Anyway, I'll keep you posted. He is on CoQ10 and it must have kicked in this AM (5th day) - he was a pistol... romping and playing and running and jumping like a puppy. I had never seen him in such form. He chewed up my shoe laces and took a cloth off an end table, lamp and all, and then went on to jump on Willow's head and all day was just into one thing and then another... typical puppy stuff. He would lay down for a few minutes and rest in between but was really on the go today. Tonight he went right in his kennel and I closed the door and he is sound asleep. Should be interesting..but it's time for his debut into the world. He'll meet the family this weekend. We held him back from that till he was sure of where he was. He's ready. I have been given a wealth of very good information by Tig and Mr. Nemo and others. You know... there is so little information out there and relatively so few dwarfs that have made it even to their 1st birthday.. it is a little intimidating at first. But with a support group to cheer me on, it really is easier. The hurdles of feeding and supplementing, then learning to take what the vet says mostly with a grain of salt - she doesn't really know anything about him either. She doesn't support raw diet, well... ok.. but I do so that's what he gets. But it is so good to have my base information down now but mostly, the encouraging feedback I get helps me be confident to keep trying things. I'm loving this journey. I feel privileged to have a dwarf... he is a blessing. I read where some lady said if we couldn't keep him for any reason, she would pay $3000 for him. I held him closer that day after reading that... protecting him from that idea... was never tempted to do it....There is purpose in this and I am just falling for him more every day. I watch for his happiness and this morning he was really hillariously happy. Thanks Steph for this little guy... such a heart throb... And Abhay... yes, The other Tim Tebow is a fine fellow. He has his head on straight... isn't it amazing how some don't understand him - he's just a really good guy with a heart for God.. wants to be like his Daddy! |

| Oh and YR, I have heard so much encouragement from you... thanks so much... I really needed it... I never heard of a dwarf GSD and when I saw him I wanted him.. First of all, he will remain small enough that I can train without hurting myself. I am disabled and unable to appropriately train a full sized shepherd anymore. This guy is just the right size. I needed him as much as he needed me. I love German Shepherds.. really love the breed. Now I have the best of both worlds. He is a real German Shepherd in a tiny body but he still needs training and motivations and a job. He will have a job... we'll see how this plays out. It is exciting to think of where he could go. He has been invited to "speak" at a school where the disabled children are very disabled and would understand his story. He is like them... So, some underestimated his great worth and that's how I got him. He's a grand champion in my book...I believe in him. That's all he really needed. |

| What's up with the censoring? Yes, I guess it was sports talk, but duh! We are doing something here StrayPixels... not just chatter. Learning about a dwarf is important for me the owner as well as those coming up... ok we'll go elsewhere.. I think Little Timmy needs a web site of his own. |

| Nothing was censored it was all moved. All the posts are still here. This is a dog forum and when 60 to 70 % or more of the talk on this thread became football we decided to split that off. Why should a person who is trying to learn about drawfs have to sift through pages of football? Sorry, you feel you need to leave but these are the rules. |

| Gosh, I had no idea... thought football talk was a natural since it was the day of the game... not a football site or topic for sure. My point is to post and learn about dwarfs... it is too important to quit over an obvious misunderstanding. I think the game that day started the football talk, especially since Big Tebow played heroically... just like my little Tebow. Every day is a heroic day for him. Today he is full of it again... buzzing through the house and bouncing around like a puppy should, then takes a quick nap, then back at it. We were out for a while and when we returned he bounded down the hallway like I would hope he would. He's feeling good. Every day he feels good is important.. we'll see what tomorrow brings. |

| Just looked at the OT "football talk"... there was more there than I knew about.. So we'll try to stick with Tebow - the dwarf who thinks he's king of the world... he's king of mine.. well prince. So all is make nice now? I will obey rules and am still thinking of a web site for him since there are so many that can't find dwarf info. I was specifically told about this site by the rescue but otherwise couldn't find anyone. |

About you getting that impression and feeling like that. That was my fault! I spents hours and hours, Copying and pasting, testing (lengths of the new football posts to make sure they were not to long), reading every post to make sure they went to right threads. Making sure correct pieces of the post were put in correct spot. I then went through and carefully made the correct edits in your thread. After I was done, I posted my actions on mod forum and checked on a few mod things and went to bed. It wasn't till I was waiting for my computer to load up, the next day, that I realized, I forgot to PM you. When I got on the forum, I was informed Yellowrose was not happy and I should answer her. My first thought was you. I wondered if you were upset when saw you had posted to your thread. | There are two threads going at the moment - Tebow and dwarf GSD and I will keep up with both as best I can. I am hungry for support as I am sure other dwarf owners are. We have to have information from each other because there are many vets out there who might know about this pituitary dwarf thing, but they are few and far between and I don't happen to have one right now. But she is willing to learn and is helpful in this journey. My newest dilemna is - vaccinations. Tebow had a rabies before I got him because the rescue had to do that to adopt him out... but we had no other record of shots. My vet gave him a 1st parvo combo shot and now wants to do a booster. Considering the compromised immune systems of dwarfs, do I go ahead with that or not. I am inclined to leave it as it is without the booster. I had dogs in the past who died from shots and I am not interested in having another... but it is very controversial. I am researching and would like to know what others think... dwarf owners and others. Please help. |

| I would send an mail to Dr Jean Dodd - hemopet@hotmail.com asking for her recommendations. She is the vaccination guru, has studied the effects of vaccines for many years. Make sure you tell her Tebow is a pituitary GSD dwarf and include his history, the meds he is currently taking and his expected exposure to other dogs. She is normally quick to respond and has been very helpful to me many times in the past. |

| HI GIRL: I need to ask, what PARVO COMBO did vet give little TEBOW? I thought , or would have assumed, Tebow had shots from Steffie? I am against LEpto in any combo and never ever give a Rabies shot the same day as Parvo, Distemper 5 way not 7 way. We have no lepto here in Texas. Vets have no consideration of the side effects and they do not ask you to research it either...GSD are completely a totally different breed of dog when it comes to compromising the immunes system especially if TEBOW being a Dwarf GOOD for you ..DO as Blitzen request you asap. TEBOW is not gonna get distemper in this short a period he is how OLD?? How many shots did he have as a baby??? THREE???? I do not give Rabies but once every three yrs and not then unless my kids are going to leave property and that is all over with now.. Vets can test most all dogs to see his immunity. DO not know about TEBOW so ask the expert if he can be tested to see if he needs one or is already still carrying his immunity to Rabies.. Then make sure he gets some herbals to rid his body of anything toxic.. I have seen too many reactions in many pups and dogs to shots in the last 4 yrs..HAS the vaccines changed in their solutions ? YR |

| YR, Tebow is a rescue, so no idea what previous owners did. Steph was required to give rabies before he could go to his new home. See the dwarf thread for info. |

| Tebow, supposedly had DHPP when a pup, he is now about 10 months old. We don't have Lepto here either so we don't vaccinate for that. I figured as old as he is, he didn't need another DHPP until next year maybe and then titer him instead....I had to do the rabies to cross state lines, in case they or I got caught. He was due for that, it was his first one, that should have been given at 6 months... Really wanted to get him feeling better before I did that, since he was kept outside in the cold -5 degrees, tied to a chain, for several months before the vet saw him and took him in till I could get him... He was in a Menonite home, where they do not believe in dogs in the house, they had NO idea what kind of a dog it was, people told them it was a chow X...they did bring him in that night the vet left and came and got him the next day....
