as for this family, i hope they get the dogs. whether in peace or war, sometimes one of the very few "normal" things a soldier can hold onto is feeding and caring for a stray dog or cat. i hope also, that this family realizes the need of the strays in their hometown or state or country. they're just trying to grab hold of some piece of their son who is gone.
