| King shepherds are registered with ARBA, as a breed, or so i belive. ARBA = American Rare Breed Assoc. There are tons of ancient dog breeds that are lovely and deserve a chance to show and be seen. I think even the Panda Shepherd are part of ARBA or they are being considered The majority of spilnter shiloh groups are EXTREMELY strict with breeding, and some people are so tight with helath testing that they might shun you for not doing just about every health test on your dogs lol =] (good thing in my opinion). OFA etc. My dogs have had hips, elbows, thyroid, and tons of other things tested to be sure that they are healthy representations of thier breed. These splinter groups as you call them are doing thier best for the betterment of this wonderful breed. If you want to know anything else about these dogs check out the ISSDC or the NSBR, TSSR groups or join some of the yahoo groups devoted to these wonderful dogs. They are truely amazing creatures. Every shiloh I have met, I have loved. Try to remember all breeds started somewhere, GSDs, Goldens, Labs, these breeds just didnt pop out of the gorund. This was not meant to offend anyone at all, so plese be kind as I feel I have been kind to you. |
