I'm looking to purchase a Zamp Thermodos daughter or granddaughter in the next 18 months (Must be in the USA/Canada ONLY!)
Who in the USA/Canada has planned breedings to Zamp within the next year?
Who owns a son or daughter of Zamp in the USA/Canada?

Thanks

Carlos Huerta (crhuerta on this board) has a  very nice Zamp grandson.

Don't know if he has yet returned from Germany, but this is a very serious S/L/working breeder/trainer in the U.S. (Chicago area).

If this is the blood line I was interested in, these would be the very first people I would contact.

Hello Rik,
Thank you for your kind words.......
We have "litter mates".....a grandson & granddaughter,  BOTH are in Germany right now.
The male "Cuervo" will be here at the 2009 NASS.  His sister "Chulla",  will be bred while in Germany as soon as she is in heat, and will be then coming home.
They are Negus offspring out of a Bax Luisenstrasse daughter.
We are trying to decide on the proper "stud" dog for Chulla at this time........
Possibilities could be.....(Shicco, Yukon.?...and we are looking at a couple others)......no snap decisions.
Respectfully,
Robin
p.s......Rik.....anytime you are interested in ANY puppies we may have......it's yours.....no questions asked.
We know that you will do the BEST for it!

Hello Robin, thanks.

Last year when I first started looking for a "German" dog I came up with a list of 4 breeders who I felt had similar goals. I did 99% of my research on this board.

I ended up with the sable pup that I showed in Peoria, from a breeder on my original list. That is why I consider forums such as this to be such a valuable tool.

I went from not even knowing the difference in WL/SL  to a fairly successful puppy career with my first effort.

You guys had a teen age bitch at the time, but no pups. The other two breeders that I felt could provide what I was looking for (besides you and the one I ended up getting my pup from)  were Gail Kirkwood and Randy Brent. I showed my first dog in the 70's and the one thing I have learned is to deal only with breeders who have good reputations and are respected.

I was very fortunate to get such a nice pup without "credentials"  in the SV type world.

Anyway, due to a very tragic event here, I am shopping for another dog.

I really hope to find a working line from V rated lineage here in the U.S..

I am putting a lot of effort into learning to train "Schutzhund" and from what I've learned so far, I feel I need a "harder" type dog that can recover quickly from my mistakes until I get a foundation in what I'm doing. All I have ever done is teach dogs to run in circles to the left.

Again, thank you for your very kind offer,

Rik

Anytime Rik!
Chris has the best of both worlds..........and her dogs are very, very nice!
We are just about to venture on our first "cross-bred" litter.....hope we have similar success.
The breeders of our co-owned black female, were here with us from Germany last week.........they worked some of our dogs while they were here....
They like our male Ando, whos from Esko & Ursus lines......their suggestion was to breed him to the black female..?!
Maybe?!.......
Rik..you know I wish you the best...we're always here to help!
Sincerely,
Robin

Thanks everyone who responded.  I don't really want to get a great-granddaughter, though if she's sired by Shicco that will be real tempting.   I'm just looking ahead of time to see what may be available when I am ready to purchase, I've had a difficult time finding Zamp daughters/sons in the USA.
Chris' dogs are super nice, I also hope to get a pup from her in the future who is descended from Paska Salztalblick.

Hello Euro, if what you want is a dog with very top anatomy, then I think you are on the right track with Zamp.

If you want a dog with good anatomy and also acceptable work, then I would study very carefully the mother line and also the breeder.

JMHO,
Rik
