If your dog already has heart worms, it's best to take them to the vet for the treatment before you even start them on Ivomec. I had 2 dog's that WERE on heart guard plus and still came down with heart worms. Since then I have changed them all on Ivomec. I will sometimes give them Safe Guard, but I don't mix the 2 together, that's a NO,NO.
