What about the contract you signed stating you would register the dog with the agreed upon name? You did not breed this dog or have anything to do with the breeding. The breeder (Spartanville) deserves the credit. That was a very dishonest thing you did. It does not matter if you did not like the the name, that gives you no right to violate your contract and register the dog with your kennel name. Seriously, if the registered name was such a big deal you should have went to another breeder that didn't care what their dogs were registered as. This right here is exactly why I register all my puppies before they leave, so I don't have to worry about things like this happening.

SPECIAL NOTE: To those leaving comments about the name change on "Bar" please understand that AKC allows the owner of the animal to NAME the dog!! Read the rules. If a kennel owner wants their name on a dog then they can spend the money to name the dog; no problem. Why be CHEAP! We did not want a dog named Jaguar!!! Also, he came to our kennel full of worms just under the age of 8 weeks. Thank goodness for DRONTAL!!! Way too early to ship a dog and with only one shot! We were surprised when we saw how young he was and that they allowed him to be shipped!

Thank you to the people who have purchased his puppies and continue to stay in touch with their accomplishments. Very impressed with the DDR/Czech dogs!

It is a sad shame that someone like this person has to stoop that low, but it does happen more than not with people changing the dog's kennel name. This is 1 reason why we register all our puppies in our kennel name before they leave our property. It cost more, but to us it's well worth it.

Wow, how very low! The breeder/kennel deserves the credit for what they put out there. Hopefully anyone who looks at this boy's pedigree will realize where credit is due.

well i think this is completely unacceptable, and I for one would never utilize this breeder. the breeder should be given credit for producing such a representation of the breed and the fact that this is not being done speaks volumes as to the integrity of the owner of this animal!

I did sell this dog to Tanya. I am very, very upset with the breech of contract, as I am sure you are. This is unacceptable business ethics at it's best...or worst. What goes around, comes around, and it will here, too.

Spartshep: did you sell this dog to Tanya Wisler in Texas?
If so, she purchased one of my pups years ago, we had a signed contract in which she agreed to use my kennel name on the dog, giving her the choice for the first name of the dog...which she chose and which was entered on my purchase contract.
Then she simply sent in the papers to AKC using her own kennel name on the dog.
Very dishonest, and glaringly reveals the kind of person you are dealing with who would do this...especially if she is herself a breeder. She should be able to appreciate the importance of our pups carrying our kennel name, particularly when this is established as part of the contract.

This is a gorgeous black male out of Puck x Bea from Spartanville Shepherds...why did you not keep his kennel name intact? What a dishonest thing to do!

We have owned in the past thirty one years some of the most titled imports in the United States. "Bar" has impressed us with his easy trainability and he is very handler oriented. This male is very "clear headed" and an excellent representative of the East German DDR dogs both is correct structure and high trainability. He is a very impressive "Stallion Type" male with a very impressive pedigree (solid DDR).

We have owned some of the highest titled imported german shepherds for thirty years and this boy is very special. He is very clear headed and naturally protective (not over sharp as many are nowadays). Very correct in structure; very balanced. Prelim x-rays are normal. We plan to start his training toward titles this year.

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
