May 23rd, 2013, Qira passed her Herding Instinct Test with flying colors. To my knowledge this was her first time being around sheep, yet she showed up a couple of dogs that the trainer had been working with for 3 weeks. Even he was surprsied at how well she did, and made the comment "That is a REAL, well-bred, WORKING Shepherd right there."

Unfortunately, since this was not a licensed event she doesn't get the title for this, however she seemed to enjoy it (that is an understatement) so it is something we will have to pursue.

Edit 10/21/2013: Qira earned both legs of her "official" HIC this past weekend at the Great Plains Bearded Collie Club's herding trial.
