This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.

If you buy a dog with the expectation of making money with him, you need to pay a price according to what you expect. You can't get "something" for next to nothing. When will some people learn?

I am working hard to find someone who wants to take this animal in the condition that he is in, but so far, no one seems willing to commit to an animal that is already showing signs of hip dysplasia. We are currently working with GSD rescue groups. I have people who want a "junk yard" dog, but he won't leave here, if I think he will end up on a chain, outside to suffer. Putting him down would be a better option than that!! I do care, very much about this animal.
He is still here at our home and still consuming food and supplements to keep him comfortable. If it were only about the money, he would have been gone the day we were told that no money would be refunded, back on 1/14/2008!
I have offered to provide video tape of this animal and his movement. I have offered to return the dog at my expense for only what I paid for him. (I have nearly $500 more in him with vet bills, testing and dog food as well as the transportation costs to get him here)
I have vet statements and an OFA report which is proof of his condition!
You can view is OFA on-line at:
http://offa.org/display.html?appnum=1298980#animal
$1800 is a lot to give for a dog that WILL need to be put to sleep at some point in the near future. If you had any credibility or ethics you would simply take back the animal that you sold and pocketed the money for.
The fact that you won't, PROVES that you have NO regard for this animal, or ethics to do the right thing and were ONLY passing off a problem animal that YOU got stuck with. I WON'T PASS THE DOG ON TO SOMEONE ELSE LIKE THIS, EVEN IF IT MEANS I AM OUT THE MONEY I PAID FOR HIM, PERIOD! WHEN YOU HAVE ETHICS, THAT IS WHAT YOU DO!
This dog has tons of drive and an incredible, out going temperament! In fact his drives are so much, that placing him in homes with small pets, or first time GSD owners, is not an option, this dog was bred to work and has the drives for it!
What he doesn't have is good hips, so no, he would not be a suitable police dog!
No, the dog showed no signs of HD when we purchased him, I have no clue if it was just because the weather was warm (first part of Oct), or if he was on medication. He had the "a" stamp and I didn't question it as I am sure MANY people don't when buying a dog with certified hips! LESSON LEARNED WHEN DEALING WITH UNSCRUPLIOUS PEOPLE!
It seems pretty shady to point the blame on the buyer, you sold an animal that can not be used for breeding and is not even suitable as a pet, because he is dysplastic and you are refusing to offer ANY refund or take the animal back.
BUYER BEWARE when dealing with these people, they will NOT stand behind what they sell!

Because the dog did not have suitable drives or temperament for Police work it was decided to sell him as a very beautiful pet German shepherd.
Andrea contacted Clearcreek Bauernhof Kennel regarding Lestus and Clearcreek Bauernhof Kennel represented Lestus as a very sweet natured dog that was a pet that could possible sire an occasional litter.
Clearcreek Bauernhof Kennel stated that to there knowledge that Lestus had never sired a liter and had A3 hips.
Andrea indicated that she planned to use Lestus as a breeding dog for a couple of litters a year but, she did not do her do diligence and ask for a sperm count or an additional hip x-ray for a dog that she wanted to use as a stud.
Lestus was fostered in a few homes prior to selling him and was exposed to many dog professionals, ranging from show line and sport line Schutzhund helpers and handlers and police k-9 professionals. Lestus did not exhibit to anyone pain or discomfort during his training sessions. In addition Lestus was under no pain medication and had a clean bill of health when Andrea purchased him for 1800 dollars.
I find it very hard to believe that this young dog has suddenly developed such a painful and debilitating hip dysplasia in the 3 months since Andrea has been in possession of Lestus that she is even considering euthanizing him.
Andrea accused Clearcreek Bauernhof Kennel of selling Lestus to her with several health issues including brucellosis, leptospyrosis (of which he tested negative), serious hip dysplasia, after she found that he was sterile and would not produce a promised litter to her customers.
I hope that Andrea will find Lestus a good home before she considers euthanizing him for issues that in my opinion are only money related.

He is a son of VA3 Orbit vom Huhngrab.
Shortly after he was purchased, it was discovered that he is totally sterile. (possibly vasectomized?) He has 2 neg burcelois tests. This dog has NO sperm, confirmed by a vet. He is fully intact and very aggressive about breeding!
Lestus was also sold with the "a" stamp of Noch Zugelassen on his pedigree. As the weather became colder here in Missouri, he started to show signs of pain and stiffness. He was re-xrayed and those xrays were submitted to OFA. He has come back as moderately displastic, which corresponds with his pain and stiffness.
The people who sold this animal are refusing to provide a refund or take this animal back, saying that he was in good health when he was sold, 3 months ago. I have offered to deliver the dog back at my own expense!
We are not in a position to provide the special home that this dog will need. I am offering him for free to anyone who is willing to provide this dog a comfortable life as a house dog and is willing an able to manage his HD as he gets older. This dog is already showing signs of pain on cold days, he needs to be an inside dog. I would suggest castration, to lower his drives, as this dog has plenty of drive and wants to work and breed.
Unless we can find a good home for him, I will have no choice but to put him to sleep, which would be a true shame, as he has an incredible temperament and is a beautiful, large black and red. In our local area, too many are looking for junk yard dogs, to stick on a chain, etc... I will not let him go to anyone who has those intentions.
I am just sick over the lack of ethics that has been displayed with this situation, we have been breeding and placing quality German Shepherds for over 25 years and I couldn't consider shuffling a dog off on someone with the problems this animal. To everyone out there, please consider this situation, before you purchase a dog with an "a" 3 stamp. This is either a case of pure fraud, or the SV has a serious problem with allowing this certification on a dog that can become crippled at just 3 years of age!
We learned our lesson and will never again purchase a dog except from our close friends in Germany and NEVER another "a" Noch Zugelassen!
