Listen to this excellent interview with Patrick J Michaels and get educated as to the "Climate Change" hoax....

Funny how almost all reputable scientists believe climate change is happening and its acceleration is caused by anthropogenic (man-made) factors.  One huge sign of this is the significant increase in surface temperatures since the start of the industrial revolution.  Prior to that, the surface temps remained relatively steady.  I realize that climate change deniers refuse to believe the science and that there is a profitable reason to deny climate change for the big corporations.  Regardless, it is happening and we need to do our part to stop the increase in temperatures.

Mindhunt, the " scientists" of whom you speak are paid by the government to " find evidence" to support the agenda of the government...all to give the government amunition with which to impose regulations for taxing ( stealing) money from the public and businesses. It's a scam !!!

Joanro, Puleez, it is science, based in fact and is not just this country but 175 other countries as well as 168 parties wanting to become involved in addressing climate change , unless our government is paying those countries and their scientists in a giant conspiracy to harm poor innocent corporations.......(cue Twilight Zone theme music, sorry, couldn't resist Wink Smile)........

1880-2012 - average global temperature increased by 33.53o F (0.85o C). The noticable climate change began shortly after the industrial revolustion

Global levels of major crop decreases are 40 megatons per year from 1981 - 2002 due to increasing global temperatures.

Oceans have warmed up, Gulf stream is shifting and warming, snow and ice have diminished and sea levels have risen.  1901 - 2010, the global sea level rose by 19 cm, Arctic sea ice has shrunk every decade from 1979 by 1.07 million Km2 of ice

If things continue as is, the global temperature increase will exceed 1.5o

The Gulf Stream is so important to the health of the planet. The Gulf Stream plays a major role in regulating the worlds climate and food sources for the ocean life.  It transports warm water from the tropics to the north Atlantic.  This will cause increased mega storms, hurricanes, and cyclones like the most recent Hurricane Michael which sprung up so quickly, and we can expect more such weather to quickly escalate to deadly levels. We can expect harsher winters, hotter summers, wetter rains and flooding, dryer droughts and famine, the effects are catastrophic.  Not to mention the food in the ocean as well as ocean life is affect by the changing Gulf stream. Climate change is no hoax designed to tax corporations.  It is unfortunately very real.  As for coporations, they need to be taxed more and get rid of all the tax breaks they get and funding from the government.

It isn't just about 'scientists', either. Even if the nay-sayers could prove there was some enormous conspiracy going on, between the majority of the planet's scientists and the tax-gatherers (or whoever), that is still to deny the day to day evidence of thousands of independent people, naturalists and so on, who in their daily lives are observing an increase in the speed of damage to the world's resources. Whether 'climate change' or 'global warming' are responsible for these developments, or not, and whether the cause of that is man-made or not, becomes irrelevant in the face of the fact that a lot of methods for restricting that damage have already been shown to slow it down. As there is a huge overlap between those remedial measures and the measures promoted by the UN et al, surely THAT is a good reason for listening and implementing (NOW), not arguing the toss about whether its all a tax-grabbing myth ?

Mindhunt What specific science are you talking about? Can you explain what is surface temperature and how is it measured? By the way, it is not true that the temperature of the earth is steady. That is absolutely not so. Based on the geological and paleontological evidence it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that the general temperature of the earth changes all the time.
Also, I would like to see how the "scientists" you are talking about separate anthropogenic temperature increase from other natural sources of temperature changes which BTW are incomparatively more influential on the climate change than human influence. That can be deduced from data of millions of years of the temperature change PATTERNS which did not change one iota due to recent human so-called influence. In other words, human influence while ti exist is a pimple on the earth's butt. On top of it to discuss this leads to a circular discussion. In previous posts, I have clearly shown SCIENTIFIC evidence that we are in general geological temperature decrease/ cooling.

Very good post, pragre!!!

Please, mindhunt, watched the interview!!!educate yourself!!! You have been thoroughly brainwashed in University and are spewing the commi retoric almost virbatm like a drone!

I don't mean to insult you, not my intent. But you have been indoctrinated in bs!

Watch the interview, open your mind and listen to a reasonable, intelligent man explain the reality and where the lies come from!!!

Prager! Please watch the interview! It is great!!! And a breath of fresh air listening to logic and reason and truth rather than all the propaganda from the global elitists liars!!!

I have watched the video. Unfortunately, the video is long and most people do not possess the ability to watch and focus on it.

Joanro, I believe in the science behind the support for climate change.  We could go back and forth with the proof and how it is obtained, etc.  somehow I do not believe it will make a difference to you.

Prager, weather related to tropical storms and hurricanes has intensified over the past few years.  2016 was the longest hurricane season in history. 15 tropical storms, 7 hurricanes, and 3 intense hurricanes.  2017 was busy with Harvey, Irma, and Maria.  Irma and Maria were the 2nd time two category 5 hurricanes struck in the same area the same month, Dean and Felix did the same in 2007, this occurrence has not happened since 1886.  Hurricane Michael was the most intense category hurricane to hit US landfall since mid 19th century and it sprang up so fast, a new occurrence with hurricanes.  However, you are correct that 2018 is predicted to be relatively calm compared to previous years.

I find that the split between deniers and supporters of climate change fall along partisan lines.  Trump followers want to deny and non-Trump followers tend to support.  Of course there are outliers to this.  I guess we will soon find out.  Unfortunately it will be too late and lots of countries and populations, especially the poor, will be adversely affected.
