Do you know which two dogs were bred? How are you making assumptions like that? Just curious

by apple on 15 June 2017 - 14:06

Who are the dogs your pup is out of?

by jimefam on 15 June 2017 - 15:06

Lmfao if you dont know that then how can you make that post you did earlier? Below are both dogs pedigree and as far as i know both dogs are Staatsmacht owned and bred.

Again i wouldnt care if it really was someone elses bitch i just know i wanted a male only one male was born and i was told that was mine the day after they were born. Now if stefan can tell which is the best or worst the day after a litter is born then maybe your right and he let me get him knowing that LOL.

I was confused when you said something earlier about Quardes being bred to a bitch from another kennel. Yes, these are both Staatsmacht dogs. Do you know if Illaoopsie has been bred before ?

by apple on 15 June 2017 - 16:06

I see she was bred at least one other time in 2015.

by jimefam on 15 June 2017 - 16:06

Yes that one other time is the only one. I also did inquire with two of the dogs from the previous breeding and both were involved in IPO and on track. Now of course they are very young but iirc one is testing for something this month. All in all i was convinced the genetics were what i was looking for and that this was a good shot to take. Time will tell if that was so.

Stefan has a very good breeding program, and probably one of the best in the states for intense, high drive working dogs. I hope your pups turns out to be a very healthy and great dog to work with. I am just saying there is likely more than what meets the eye. For example, a main reason for this breeding could be that he have wanted the best female as part of developing his bloodlines. There is nothing wrong with that because that is how bloodlines are developed. Do you happen to know how many pups were produced out of this litter?

by jimefam on 15 June 2017 - 16:06

3 pups one male two female. However as i said before stefan told me how many had been born. I got a pic and he asked me if i wanted the boy or one of the girls or wait to decide. I told him i would jump on the male before anyone else got a chance because i only want a male right now. He said ok and that was it. What his goals were for the breeding i dont know thats not my concern so i didnt ask but i can tell you once I got a hold of him he has been super easy to work with and sent me a pic of them at two weeks recently.

Another thing that could be going on, which you wouldn't be concerned about unless you were potentially looking for a breeding prospect, which people generally don't do with pups, is that Stefan could be trying to find out about Terror's impact on litter size. I have heard he tends to produce small litters. If that result occurs with a variety of different females it helps provide information on what might be going on such as too close in/line breeding with lack of genetic diversity, or something else.

Well the person i mentioned whom i met here in town who had a staatsmacht dog was a terror son who was out of a litter of nine! The same bitch bred to Quardes the year before had a litter of 5 iirc. Perhaps, and i know this sounds crazy but what if nothing is "going on"? Maybe just maybe he bred two dogs he owns and is selling the pups because thats what breeders do? Now i did tell him i wanted a dog that could possibly do ipo at the highest stages and i also told him i would seek out the best help training the dog but i dont think anything weird about it. People tend to think somehow the best trainers just end up with the best dogs but i happen to think its more along the lines of the best trainers can take a good dog and make him great while maybe a normal person gets a pup from the same litter with just as much promise and doesnt exploit it and thinks he missed out on the "star" of the litter.

Look at Ivon from the same litter as illaoopsie. I believe his owner was a first time handler when he got him but he obviously stuck close to stefan and learned well and taught the dog well and bam a national level dog hes got. There are a couple of other males in his litter who we can see pics and videos of as puppies and they certainly looked good too but they went further away and maybe didnt link up with a great trainer. Hard to say for sure that those pups were less than.
