Hundreds of dead dogs from vaccine reactions including one of my own would beg to differ that vaccines are either safer or more effective than the diseases they prevent. The OP has a dog likely damaged and having seizures due to a vaccine reaction but the fact that vaccines cause seizure disorders is stupidly dismissed as impossible. Stop shopping for answers to health problems by blaming everything on genetics while veterinarians and vaccine makers bank the fruits of their lies at the expense of our dog's health and lives.  The leptospirosis vaccines are pushed by veterinarians to prevent serotypes that don't exist for dogs with no exposure and to prevent a disease which seldom kills dogs but the lepto vaccines can and do cause seizures, blindness, immune system malfunction and death.

Even if casualties amount to 'hundreds', that's not a lot compared to the hundreds of thousands successfully innoculated, both to their own advantage and to the advantage of all us dog owners through 'herd immunity'. Of course we shouldn't take everything the manufacturers, or their representatives through the veterinary profession, try to 'sell' us without query or caution; of course it has now been shown that annual boosters are rarely necessary. But don't chuck the baby out with the bath water. I'm with Susie and Sunny.
