Could you give me some price ranges?

A UK puppy not more than 1200 pounds ( out of trained/titled parents/UKC )
A German/West European puppy not more than € 1000 ( out of trained/titled parents/SV )
An East European puppy around € 600 ( FCI pedigrees )

A green dog younger than 1 year ( pre- x-rayed, no show prospect ) = puppy price
A green, x- rayed dog ( no show prospect , 12 months or older ) around € 1.500

In this case : Green = totally green ( no training )

According to your needs you don´t need to pay for an outstanding IPO prospect ( € 2000 + ), and you don´t need to pay for an outstanding show prospect ( € 4000 ++ ), but you need to ask for stable nerves and some territorial behavior ( keep in mind a dog needs to feel "at home" to develop ANY territorial behavior - may take several months ).

There are generally no refunds on green dogs. Green dogs are old enough to test and figure out what you have. After the dog is about 6 months old you kind of know what you have and it’s up to you to make the purchase or not. I would not expect any breeder or broker to give you anything if you discover something about the dog later on. That’s the whole draw of a green dog and also the reason for the higher price, more information is available about the dog and it’s up to you to understand that information. The unfortunate part for the dog is that if it doesn’t work out for whatever reason, it’s usually the dog that starts being passed around from home to home. Those are the ones where people start hiding things and trying to “get their money back” on the dog because they were sold something that wasn’t worth what they paid.

Susie these are the prices i had in mind..

Yogi given that the difference between the prices you and Susie suggest is substantial, could you give me a justification so i can understand better?

Babbles24/7,
I thought Yogi explained quite well why he paid more.

I was assuming you are a 24 yr old female previously. I'm no longer assuming.

Just buy the dog already and move on. If you have this many questions buying a dog, I am scared you wont know how to open the bag of dog food.

You are an @$$, you assume, thats your job mate.
Why don't you go play with the little Chaz a little bit? You seem very tense..
