Good to see folks are weighing in and being open to the fact that subset of extant GSDs can have very high defensive drive just like some dogs can be high prey. And the adrenaline and dopamine in those levels of the drive can push the dog to work ( display intense aggression ) even in situations that it may not be in the physical interest of the dog to act that way.
I think B Wagon has retreated from his/her direction of argument.

My female from tiekerhook is very defensive she would do some damage if she caught u she would bite u any where face hand any body part exposed. Could never do bite work with her on my own even as a puppy if I had a tug when she was a pup and she bit it would cause many problems in other area's so always needed a helper. But now I have control over her an understanding we work grate as a team . But definitely not suitable for sport

Shawni, what´s the relation of your pups to Wu besides the kennel name?

If the puppies are siblings, it's not surprising that they'd "go after" each other right after the flight. They already knew each other. My neighbor's dogs (albino Doberman pups) are from BYB and they're constantly going after each other. They run scared from Bosco, though, and from me.

There is a lot to observe in those pups behavior, if you view them with open mind and knowledge of what you are watching.

Seems as though the wagon has rolled away to sportier thread to continue eulogize social treat takers that can score very " high points" in all three phases.

@Prager who claims that Bismack dogs are Romanian dogs. Look at the peds again and you would see so much Czech dogs. The ownwer/breeder at Bismack says he is retired military K9 personnel. Under Ceausescu the Romanian military  developed their own K9 program with lots of dogs from Czechoslovakia,and Deutsche Democratic Republic.

Whats your assessment of those pups.

 

Not for bashing the Tiekerhook but I obeserve many times they bring the dog in the drives
with a whip, I hate using a whip. When a dog has not enough drives and the  helper or who ever  to use a a whip
for me that dog is game over. I like natural  drives not actors


Many people put out te camera than they use whip, bring te dog in the drive, than
they put on te camera and volia now we have a serious gangstah dog.........  

Best obeservation is not videos but visit the dog yourself, with a unknown helper

and a unknown area......... IMO for what is worth

 

BM So how do these dogs end of biting so many different LE handlers. Theres a dog a couple years ago bred in Washington state; the lady does not breed anymore. But she bred a dog called Yukon. Here is a link to the story:

I can tell you many stories about Police dogs and handlers but that was not my point
I only observe that Tiekerhook dogs. I don,t know Yukon or the storie behind that dog personal. I also seen  a lot wrong matches  handler/dog in my life.
