I agree Jenni78 it was more a precaution just to make sure the pup at least had no signs this young.

Dr. Popkin is one of the best Vet in Northern California, Santa Rosa area.
I never took x-ray with that young age but left side x-ray doesn't look normal, may be position wasn't right??? Not sure..

YES! Much easier to see! Yes, I'd say the right hip is normal. Sockets could be a little tighter, but the pelvis is still growing. I think they look good for the puppy's age and stage of development. I would have no worries about buying this pup, based on the x-ray.
