We are now separating the pedigrees of individual dogs and litter pedigrees. Please only enter the pedigrees of named, individual dogs with registration information to the PDB databank.
Please no more entries of entire litters, no more entries of test litters, no more entries of unnamed or generically named ("purple collar" or "H-litter Heidi") puppies.

To post a link to a litter on your web  site or in a Classified, please use PDB's fabulous "Mating Outcome" tool. It calculates an inbreeding coefficient for five generations, too.

Oli will introduce a separate page for planned litters where users can see all of them at one glance. Stay tuned!

Pedigree entries for litters, test litters, generically named puppies will be deleted immediately from now on.

The "Mating Outcome" tool is located in the left column. As for registering an individual pedigree, you must have selected a breed for it to be available and work.

Problem is, you can't look further back with the mating outcome.

Not a big deal to name a pup upon creating, but that's likely why a lot of people don't use the mating outcome exclusively. Having a place for planned litters that can be referenced would be awesome!

I like the idea for "planned litters." They could be posted at the bottom of a pedigree so if people are searching a dog, they'll see what litters are being planned for that dog right on the pedigree.

Exactly what Jenni78 said and also for planing a whole potential breeding program...not than many breeders do that, but would be nice to create at least for personal view not registered, a multi litter future breeding program. For example: If I bred A to B if I held back puppy C would that possibly work with D or E in the future? We could look to see what dogs could potentially be line bred on or if it wold be an out cross etc. Would also be nice to see mating outcomes of linebreeding going back past 5 gen. I did a breeding and had to figure out on my own that there was a 5-6,6 line breeding on a dog that otherwise didn't show me on the mating outcome. Something like that could help cut down on so many trial registered litters

Love that thought process LAVK-9. Does a system like that exist....at the present time...anywhere?
