Please is 6 month old .there's plenty of time to do research and everything else. I appreciate your time and yes for sure when the time comes I will breed her. This is not my first German shepherd and I know everyone wants to have the best one.for the money I would spend on a dog. This is the best I found . No money from my kids goes to greedy breeders. Nor pay some much that let me money just to feed pedigree like some breeder I know. She's been feeding top of the line food and have special care from my family . And is the smarter dog I've got

What do you want to do with the puppies? Work,Show,Pets? You need to have a end game to fill in the important part. If i were you and i wanted dogs that can work i,d go Working lines. Then your question would be what do you consider work? IPO ? Thats not work it,s a all breed sport. Police dogs,S&R,Assistance dogs, ect... You have to know what music is gonna play to know how your going to dance.

I think Bob and Keith are right ... you may not be here to buy -

but when you breed your female you will certainly want to sell.

Do the research - thoroughly - first;   you will be so much more

use to your puppy purchasers if you have knowledge to pass on.

And consider your market :  do you already have friends who want

a pup from her ?  What sort of life will they [or any other buyers]

offer their dog,  are they active, into hundsports or protection, in which

case they will need one sort of pup; or do they just want a house-pet

couch potato ? If so they'll need a different type. 

If you already had that knowledge, you would not be on a forum asking

whether to go for a showline or a working sire.

Please don't join the ranks of those who 'have' to breed just for the sake of

breeding;  or for pin-money.  Please don't end up producing pups which

can only be sold through Craigs List or half of which end up in Shelters ...

and for the good of the Breed as well as your buyers, please do not take un-

informed risks on producing hereditary genetic diseases.

Wow, only 3 months and you already have decided he is worthy of breeding?!? Must have fully matured mentally and physically, and has good orthopedics and health.
If you're so experienced, then why can't you decide on your own which route to go? Shouldn't you have already known your goals as a breeder?
I do buy puppies with the hopes of them becoming breeding worthy, but I certainly don't have a male picked and breeding planned when they are 6 months old. You don't have the full picture of health, temperament, and workability at that age, and won't for a while. And I sure as hell wouldn't decide to use a stud dog when he has only been on this earth for 12 weeks. They change so much, puppies are a total crapshoot.
