Melba, that one is tricky, at least I think so. Beautiful none the less,
And jenn, Capri IS what I consider a perect example of a bi-color.Also, of course a beautiful one at that!
Who is that big bi male? Ooh la la to that one.

KitKat, bicolor male adult or puppy? The first image on the left is Bravo, the next is Capri. The male that's pictured in the last 3 pics is actually black with bleeding...in a pattern just like his mom! That's Cavak, Caleb's son, father of that puppy I posted a couple weeks ago.

Do you own Cavak ? Man, that's a nice looking dog there.
This is my moms dog "Shotgun", at least 'I think' he is bi-color.
I myself like a bi-color that is darker in the legs than he is. He could almost go as blk & tan. he's a real nice dog, none the less.
I see so many people that claim bi color that should not be bi. When there is a big patch of tan or red on the chest, I myself think that removes them from being bi-colored, but, what do I know !
I thought that the tan eye brow is almost a trademark for a bi-color. I would like to know what does truly differentiate the bi's from the blk and tan.
I'm hoping to have a few myself in the coming 'years', and would like to know the difference.

Though you can't see it in the pic, She has VERY dark toe marks on both front and back. I would call her a bi color w/light undercoat. Being
Her mother has produced both blacks and bi-colors, father is sable and has produced blacks.

Thanks kitkat! Now here is a tricky one. My 8 month old DDR male has the toe penciling and tarheels, but he has gotten more tan as he has gotten older, though I think he may darken back up some.

I can confirm that Jen's Capri is a bi-color. I do have a Capri son Apache, who himself is sable, but carries the bi-color gene as evidenced by a bi-color pup in my litter from him and Tunguska (sable/black recessive).
